I am a self proclaimed hair product junkie. I’ve tried everything. High end, low end, mid range and everything in between. I’ve actually waited a full month to write this review since most hair care reviews I’ve written are all LOOOVES after the first few tries… They’ve all pretty much been duds. ( Except for wen, but that a WHOLE other story)
So, lets get to the nitty gritty. This stuff smells like a grandma convention. Very floral.. Kind of cinnamony.. That could just be me though. But, who cares.. It makes my hair soft and manageable. Not many products can do that. It’s kind of grown on me though. I color my hair often.. I started going grey at 17 so that is quite a lot of hair dye. So it’s coarse, frizzy, wavy, super thick and just plain unmanageable. This doesn’t remove ALL of the frizz but it tames it enough that when I flat iron I can run my fingers through my hair.. That is an amazing feat in itself. I use the whole line. Shampoo, conditioner, hair serum, and heat protect.. It’s an investment. But I find it at TJ Maxx and Marshalls so not so bad. Plus you only need a small amount so it’ll last a bit longer than most conditioners.

I almost never write reviews for hair products, there are so many variables and it is so subjective. But, I’ve only ever found two conditioners that work for me, and this is one if them.
I have coarse hair that tends to be dry and somewhat unruly. I only wash about five times a month, but I condition much more often.
What I require from a conditioner: Not too heavy but not too light, not greasy. Cannot leave build up after a few uses. Must contain some type of ‘cone. Tames frizz, helps define curls and waves, softens. Doesn’t require using a ton of it it one go to get desired effects. Must mix well with my coconut oil.
This conditioner does all that. I have tried everything, I will admit to having been a hopeless product junkie when it comes to hair conditioner. Over the years I’ve tried numerous brands, from high end to dollar store. I hate to think of the $$ I’ve wasted.
Aside from the Theorie, the only other conditioner I will use is Suave professionals Almond and Shea butter conditioner. You wouldn’t think so, but that stuff is also amazing.
Anyhow, the Theorie is expensive but well worth it in my opinion. I’ve added a photo of the ingredients since I can’t find them printed online anywhere.
