I got this product in the color polar, to highlight my brow bone and also highlight the inside corner of my eyes and I was able to do just that with it. It lasted a long time, was not too powdery, and overall was a nice product. My only beef about this product is that it does not pack that much color in a stroke, so I had to use a lot of product to achieve the color I wanted.

I wasn’t a huge fan of this eyeshadow. The colours are more intense than most drugstore brands, but it creases like crazy, even when I prime and powder my eyelids first. Will not repurchase.

I have 2 of the Marcelle eye shadows, one is Electric Dream which is a really nice smoky blue, and Angel Dust which is a light pink (its light but good to blend with other pinks or glittery eye shadows) I love that it’s a “wet and dry” formula and they stay put very well. The blue shade i also like as a liner too.

I recently bought the Wet & Dry Eyeshadow quad in Nude Attitude. I wanted something neutral for everyday use and this quad is definitely what I was looking for. It’s ideal to create subtle looks, but the darker colors are buildable enough to increase the intensity. I haven’t tried them wet yet, but I’m not sure it would matter much for something so neutral. Application goes on smoothly as the shadows are fairly silky. All the colors are matte except the taupe/grey-ish one, but it’s not too noticeable on the skin. I really like the packaging too.
I knocked off one point for a few reasons, though.
1- The lightest color, the highlighter, barely shows up on my skin. This is obviously something that depends from people to people, but it also developed a strange crust after a few uses. Even if I scratch it off, it always comes back. I personally prefer using a shimmery eyeshadow as a highlighter, so it doesn’t really matter to me in the end because I wasn’t going to use the lightest shade much anyway.
2- The eyeshadows are actually very hard. I couldn’t even pick up anything with my usual e/s brushes (EcoTools and Alima’s). This might be because my brushes are more suited for loose powder e/s, but I’m just saying in case it could be useful for someone else. The sponge applicator provided with the quad works very well, though. One end is smaller than the other, which allows for a more detailed application (sort of…).
That being said, I’ll definitely purchase more eyeshadows from Marcelle (eventually).

I purchased this product in the duo form, a charcoal gray and pearly silver by the name of “Slate.” I honestly have nothing but rave reviews for this product!
Firstly, the colours are lovely – the gray is very intense, and the silver pairs wonderfully with it. They are nice on their own, or even combined together.
This is THE product to buy to achieve a perfect smoky eye. For a more neutral look, I like to use a small amount of the charcoal colour, right along the lash line. Then, I love to use the silver colour right around the inner corner of my eye to brighten it, and then near my brow to highlight. I sweep a light amounth over the entire lid to unify the look as well.
For a more intense look, I like to apply the charcoal colour over black eyeliner; the colour looks pearly and rich.
The only criticism I have for this particular product is that it does not have extreme lasting power; it would be best to use an eyeshadow primer first, but I myself like to do that everytime I apply any eyeshadow.
Otherwise, FANTASTIC product. Will definitely buy again, and also will be exploring the different hues available in the collection!

I really like Marcelle e/s. The quads are well put together and the shadows have good staying power. They’re not always the most pigmented but they still work. I admit I’ve never tried them wet and don’t really have any desire to.

I bought the Marcelle Wet and Dry eyeshadow quad in Rivera probably a month ago now and I’m kind of disappointed with it. Lovely shades and the packaging is nice but I find that I need a lot of product to get the colour I was expecting, especially with the highlight colours. I’ve only tried it dry though so I might get it wet and try again. Although at this point I probably wouldn’t purchase the brand again.

I bought Marcelle’s Wet and Dry duo eyeshadow (color: Chic Plum) 2 days ago in Canada’s Shoppers Drug Mart for CAD 9.99 (but then I learnt that Superstore sells at 20cents less than this price, urgh!) The color is light purple and a darker purple(plum). I find it very blendable and long-lasting. I DID NOT wear any primer(e.g. UDPP) on my eye lids but I did apply a very thin layer of pressed powder on the lids before I applied the eyeshadow. It lasts for the whole day and still has no signs of wearing off after the day. I think it can even last longer than a day, maybe till night(?).
Since it says that you can apply it in wet for a brighter color and so I tried that out. I find the color is more visible than if you apply it in dry. However, I think applying it in dry doesn’t differ much. The duo works very well and it gives me a very natural dimension on my lids. I like it very much. I use MAC eyeshadow brush #213 and it blends very well. I think I’m going to purchase the color Bamboo (light and dark green) in the future. I’m very impressed by the quality of this eyeshadow. Besides, I’m very happy to learn that this eyeshadow is dermatologists tested and hypo-allergenic. Since not much reviews are made about Marcelle’s eyeshadow, I hope my review can let more people know about how awesome this brand is.
EDIT: I’ve tried wearing this eyeshadow for 3 days and find that, when I use a MAC #213 brush to apply, the eyeshadow flakes on my cheek. And some eyeshadow powder gets into my eyes and irritates them very much. I have sensitive eyes and my eyes get very itchy and watery during the 1st hour after I applied the eyeshadow. It makes me feel like wearing eyeshadow and a bit uncomfortable during the day. I’m wondering whether it’s the eyeshadow problem or the brush is too coarse and has scratched the powder. I don’t know, maybe I should try it with a sponge eyeshadow applicator or apply it wet next time to avoid the flakes getting into my eyes. Anyhow I have to admit that this eyeshadow blends very well and the colors are very natural.

This review is for a Marcelle Quad, but the product is still called “Wet & Dry Eyeshadow” so I hope no one minds if i add it here ; )
I’ve been on the hunt for some really neutral, almost-not-there eyeshadow to give just a little definition to my eyes (I usually don’t wear shadow because it looks SO dark and obvious on my pale skin!)
I’ve never bought any Marcelle products before, but the display for their new ‘Nude Attitude Makeup Collection’ caught my eye and I decided to test out the Wet & Dry Eyeshadow Quad in ‘Nude Rose'(LE?). Frankly, in the container, the colours look boring – but on my eyes they seem to give just the right amount of subtle shading!
The texture is smooth and almost creamy, all four colours are subtle and workable (I usually avoid quads because there always seems to be at least one colour that’s just off!) The finish is matte without being chalky or too powdery – I actually find these superior to Nars, Clinique, Biotherm, and Lancome shadows that I’ve tried!
I highly recommend these for a subtle eye design, but I understand there are some nice trendy colours too! Testers are readily available here in Canada (at SDM or Pharmaplus) and the price, though more expensive than the average drugstore shadow (the Quad is on sale for $10 at Pharmaplus) it is definitely a better value than department store products!

Marcelle makes quality eye shadows for half the price of departmental store brands. You get a lot of high quality finely milled shadow in four shades for CAD$13.95. what’s great is they do well wet or dry has great lasting power and the complimentary quads ( I bought Bohemian) works really well together for warming my face up.
Looks beachy and sunny. I’m anticipating summer already.
