If you really just adore lavender, if you just can’t get enough of it; this is for you.
I won’t lie, this stuff is powerfully fragrant. Knock-your-socks off strong. This is not for those who only like the sweet, delicate, flower-based lavenders. This is herbaceous lavender – stems and all. If you are a gardener who loves lavender or happen do adore the heady scent of the fresh stuff, this is the best.
There may be chamomile in here, but I can’t detect it at all.
Potency aside, my husband gets fragrance-induced headaches at the drop of a hat. Not with this. I’m only a little more tolerant, though asthma prone. This hasn’t caused any problems.
As a lotion:
This is rich but not at all greasy, it sinks in quickly and leaves skin super soft. It would make a very luxurious, creamy but highly scented body lotion. Because of the intense fragrance, I love this as a hand cream, especially before bed. It doesn’t have the thick and tenacious consistency of a true hand cream for highly chapped hands, but it’s a hydrating and super-silky treat for the rest of us.
This cream makes for a relaxing and soothing bed-time ritual. It’s a lovely thing to fall asleep with this scent.
If you want to use this as a body lotion, try using it at bedtime first. By morning the smell will have mellowed considerably.
Because this is so rich and fragrant, I think most people will take a while to get through the entire bottle. It’s about 20 bucks for 7.5 ounces.
Would make a great gift for a lavender fanatic. The bottle is classy.
