I know I’m in the minority here, but I really liked this leave-in detangler. I’ve using a lot of leave-in conditioners, detanglers, and spray-on conditioners lately, and this has been my favorite thus far. No, it doesn’t volumize. So the name is misleading. But it doesn’t weigh your hair down either. I really liked the scent too, and didn’t find it to be too strong. It’s clean, and slightly masculine. When i was using this, my hair was looking the best it has in a long time. My only beef is the bottle is so small, I used it up very quickly. But I would definitely get this again.

I don’t know why I don’t use this everyday? Every time I do use it I get compliments on my hair, it works! Smells good, light weight….reasonably priced. Most of all non sticky.

If you like Big Sexy Hair but want a volumizing wet product, go with the foot tall bottle of mousse. That does this job. But this product isn’t worth the money and smells like a wet dog.
I have thin yet wavy hair and have been looking for a volumizing detangler when I came upon this one. Good concept, blah outcome. Spray it on, comb it through, just like the bottle tells me. It smells gross, to be honest. And I didn’t even notice an outcome. A day later, my hair is flat. Complete bummer.
Pro’s: Cute bottle
Con’s: Expensive, smells nasty, hasn’t volumized hair at all
Overall: Don’t buy. Simple as that.

I am on my 3rd bottle of this product and still love it and use it daily. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it feel greasy like other detanglers I’ve tried. I don’t really know if it helps to give my hair much volume, but it detangles like a dream.

A local salon was having a huge sale on products and this was going for $3 so I had to try it. I actually quite like it. I have highlighted, just-past shoulder-length hair with layers that is quite healthy. Usually I just use Pureology Volume shampoo and V05 Miracle Mist with the very-occasional deep condition and my hair is in good shape. Mostly I use Miracle Mist to fight static and help with shine and I find this does just as good a job with more volume that lasts most of the day. My hair feels very bouncy and clean (I hate the feeling of a lot of product, but that is just me.) The fat bottle can be a bit hard to grip, but that is nitpicking. I’ll keep using and will most likely re-purchase.

I’m so glad I bought this without reading the reviews because I *love* it. I use it in conjuction with a thickening lotion on my roots when I blow dry and it lasts until I get home from work. Fabulous!

My interest was piqued upon finding a detangler that is actually supposed to volumize too!!!! Detangler = flat hair, in my past experience. My hair is long and thin, although I’ve been told I have a lot of it. So a detangler can very easily completely weigh my hair down… even color-locking sprays can do the same thing!! This spray helps my hair to be soft and tangle-free when, left untreated, the underside of my hair (near my neck) looks like a rat’s nest, LOL :o)
I don’t really think this gives me much volume– I only really use it on the bottom/underside of my hair, which is where my hair tends to get really tangled up. It is a really nice detangler though for the price; I would even pay more for a detangler that actually doesn’t weigh down my hair. The bottle is a little small and awkward, but all in all I was happy to find such a product that only costs me ten bucks a pop!
It’s worth a try if you have long hair that is very easily weighed down by too much product, although I can’t see myself or anyone (well, maybe a guy) using this alone to style their hair. It is more of a base/right out of shower product to me. (FYI, my Trade Secret has a buy one/get one half-off on Big Sexy Hair products!)

Yes, this detangles. No, this doesn’t add much, if any volume. Since you can get a decent detangler for like $2, I just don’t see the reason to spend this much money on one. I don’t care for the scent. It reminds me of aftershave or something. The scent is kind of unisex so men could use this product too without worrying about smelling like a girl. I rated this 3 lippies because it did detangle and add some shine but I won’t repurchase. There are many cheaper, effective detangling products out there.

I so loved the Volumizing Blow-Dry Gel that I rushed out to buy this as well. Unfortunately, this neither volumizes nor detangles, so I returned it.

I wasn’t expecting anything in the volumizer department as I’d never buy a detangler for that purpose so the fact it doesn’t do anythign volumizing wise isn’t a disappointment. It dies have a weird funky smell like parfumey sweat. Rather unfortunate! It doesn’t take a whole lot of spary to detangle which is nice. There just doesn’t seem to be many detanglers out there and I stopped using Johnson & Johnson’s ages ago once I found out they still have advanced and stopped testing on animals.
