So after a whirlwind Spring and Summer, a very aged and discontinued Sun 2 Sun N.Y.C bronzer began running out. I recently started looking for an alternative for something to match this light terracotta bronzer and light sand highlighter duo. So going back and forth in the drugstore here and there, I settled on trying this product which appears to have been updated in packaging several times but never caught my eye. Right now this is labeled with a “d” to coordinate with the coordinating makeup line. So this loose powder has a soft terracotta color and is very milled but suffers from serious micro-sparkle. It is really pretty on the cheeks but it can’t really be an all over face thing, which is what my N.Y.C bronzer was functioning as perfectly. Also what makes this product kinda treacherous is that it is a loose powder and you have to get just the right amount or else you can over-do-it really easily. I will say that because of it being a loose powder it could be really nice mixed with a body lotion and a nice dusting powder for the collar bones and shoulders. Other than that, I wish this was a pressed powder so that I could have more control of what I’m picking up on the brush. The packaging doesn’t make this a dream either. There are large shifting holes and a cheapy powder puff–why?
