Very similar to Narciso and Lovely, as others have stated. The bottle is MUCH cuter than those 2 though, so it wins. Plus, the musk in this one is sweet—but not as cloying. I love it for it’s soft sweet freshness. On my skin it opens with a musky lemon, and dries down to a musky amber mixed floral. If you like cozy sweet musks like Narciso or Lovely, you’ll love this one. Plus, like I said, the bottle is adorable.

Nanette Lepore’s Love Bird is the type of scent that will go into the history books that was released in 2006 or 2007 and completely and utterly forgotten. Love Bird is a very forgettable, kind of boring scent but it quite nice actually. I think the only people that would remember this perfume was even around a few years ago are die-in-the-wool-perfume aficionados. The fragrance itself is very musky and a little soapy too. It is very masculine smelling to my nose. I also think their is cedar in the mix of this fragrance. As another review mentioned it does smell like For Her….almost exactly actually. I don’t think I would be able to tell the two apart in a blind side by side test. If you are a huge Nanette Lepore fan and must have all things created by her but if you are just a casual purveyor of perfumes you could probably do without Love Bird in your collection. The bottle is darling however, Pretty blue color with two “love birds’ kissing. LOL

Too masculine…although I would hate to run into a guy who smells like this. Like rotten Angel. Bottle, yay! Juice, nay nay nay. A scrubber.

This might just be my HG summer fragrance! I wear Coco in the winter but have never found the perfect one for summer. They are either too herbal, floral, sweet, fruity, etc. But this one is floral, a bit musky and doesn’t smell like all the others. Some have said it’s similar to Lovely by SJP however, I think it’s much nicer – more complex. Too bad it’s LE! Just got mine from NM online. Too bad I probably won’t find another!

Verrrry musky. I don’t know how I feel about this.

This smells like a lighter version of Narciso Rodriguez for her eau de toilette or Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely.
Unfortunately I couldn’t find the scent on the Sephora.com site anymore to compare the notes, but that’s exactly what this smells like.
It’s clean, and musky, in a very grown up way, not my type of scent, but if you like the first two, then you’ll probably like this one as well.

This is a nice new fragrance launched by Nanette Lepore on Valentine’s Day 2007. It is carried by Sephora. I had to buy this unsniffed because I own a real lovebird, and I like birds in general. The bottle and box are adorned with hearts. The box is too cute to throw away. The scent is a floral bouquet with rose, a splash of citrus and a musky base. If you like Narciso Rodriguez or Sarah Jessica Parker’s Lovely, you might like Love Bird because of the similarity; however, this rose dominates the fragrance a bit more. This was not overpowering–in fact, it lightened up right after application. I could see myself wearing this in the daytime. I’ll purchase again.
