This mask is more harsh than most I have tried in the way that it really gives me a deep clean in my pores. The clay hardens and stiffens as it dries so you know when it is ready to be wiped off (warm washcloth).
PROS: cleans my pores and helps control my oil

Exfoliating has become my new best friend, I hadn’t been doing it growing up and all through high school so every point my skin would start to break out I had no idea on how to stop it!
This brought me to my mother who then nagged me on how important exfoliation is so I did the research. This mask actually helps to get in your pores and flush out all the dirt and oils that are just sitting in there after a long day. I love the feeling of the clay on my skin it’s cool and goes on thick. It dries hard and all you have to do is get a warm wash cloth and wipe it off after 10-15 mins.
My pores look smaller after I use this mask and my skin seems more even less red patches.

When I first dispense the product from the bottle, I was quite taken aback by the reddish/muddy colour of the product. For the first 1 to 2 mintues, my face feels like it’s burning/stinging, but it’s still bearable. I felt that this means the product is working! After that it feels cools, and I wash it off after it has harden. My face feels deep cleaned! And the next morning, my skin continues looking clean, smooth and clear! I don’t think I can ever survive without this! I would defintely recommend this product to anyone who suffers from the occasional acne breakouts and super oily skin.

Various types of kaolin clay are used for their absorbent properties in the Kaolin Clay detoxifying facial mask. The mask works to detoxify, supersede minerals, balance oiliness, tighten pores, improve texture and better skin tone. I do like this mask and I use it twice a week for 15 minutes. My advice to applying this comfortably would be to apply this mask a while after it has been washed (half an hour or so) because if you use it straight after washing your face, it tends to sting a little. However, keep in mind, what happens to my skins reaction to it might be entirely different to yours and the stinging does subside.

After reading other reviews I think the mask I have must be the old formula, the brick orange one. It’s awful, it burned like crazy like others have mentioned. I washed it off after 5 mins. It stained my skin orange like a bad tan job. I had to wash twice with cleanser to get the stain off. My skin felt really smooth afterwards but I wouldn’t go through any of that again. Terrible.

this is a good mask but not good enough to repurchase its too drying to keep on long but recently ive been using it as a spot treatment or just on oily areas its alright but idk

I got the Michael Todd Kaolin Clay facial mask as it comes with the acne prone skin kit. I first heard about this brand from YouTube gurus that were raving about how wonderful their products are. This mask is totally a disappointment!!! Upon application, my face burned and burned and it was extremely uncomfortable! I have never had any kaolin clay mask that burned as much as this one!
Overall: Pros lots of products
Cons: Burning sensations
Reddened skin/probably irritated
Saw no improvements
I would never put this harsh mask on my face!

I have acne prone skin in my t-zone and when i faithfully use this twice a week it works to keep my skin clear. My pump also didn’t work well from the day it arrived….i bought at a discount so didn’t return.

this is an okay mask. it burns at first but then settles. when i wash it off i have all this oil on my face, but comes off when i used a toner, weird. i dont like the texture of this compared to other masks. but it does make my face feel clean and soft afterwards.
