It is a slightly tinted mattifying primer. I only use it on the upper part of my cheeks and around my nose, where the pores are bigger and more visible. It fills them really nicely and very small amount of the product is enough (I noticed if I use too much of it, it does not sit well underneath the rest of my make-up products). It really does mattify the skin instantly. If I am in a hurry and have no time or don’t want to apply much make-up, I just use a little bit of the Z-Pore primer on my cheeks and nose to make skin texture look more matte and smoother. It really helps when used both under foundation and without it.
I am sure I will repurchase and continue using Z-Pore primer once I finish my first tube. However, I have been using it every day for over a year now and nowhere close to finishing it yet! 🙂

Works great for pores but Im looking at other products that fill lines in as well. Did not make my skin break-out! Many, many products do that.

I LOVE this stuff!!!! It does an adequate job with my pores. But, as a mattifier, it is AMAZING! It keeps my oily skin MATTE, under makeup, or alone. So, while I’m not quite sold on it’s pore-reducing qualities (I’d give it a 6 out of 10), as a mattifier it gets a 10+++++ out of 10. I use this about 4 times a week and it lasts about 7 months, a little goes a long way.

The only place where you can buy Good skin labs is Kohls or online. I’ve never seen and heard about this brand before untill I noticed it at Kohls where I don’t shop often but as I had a gift card I had to spend it.
This is a silicon based primer which matiyes skin instantly and fills in pores so that foundation will not sink into them. It is tinted just a little bit. As any silicon based primer you need to use just a pea sized amount or less for the whole face. Using to much will make you foundation slip.
I have enlarged pores on my cheeks and it does make them less visible, I think it’s because this is a mattifying prime. Everything with shimmer or glow makes my pores very visible.
I’m not sure about the ” all day matte” claim, especially in summer but at this time of the year it keeps my face matte for around 6,8 hours ( I didn’t keep it more than that on the face).
I like this primer as any other silicon based and matifying primers as Elf and Tarte( don’t remember the name). This one is cheaper than Tarte, but Elf is way cheaper than both of them (6$) and works as well as these two.
The price is 24.99$ for 0.68oz is quite decent for the department store, however you can find some primers at Sephora from the price range 20$ for 0.35 oz ( too faced) and up e.g Laura Mercier 35$ for 1.1 oz.
If you are like me, love silicon primers then you will like this one too.

I find this product extremely helpful under airbrush makeup to fill in pores. I use this after using moisture mist (sodium PCA by Twinlabs) and another Good Skin product, Tri-Aktiline. Together, my skin looks flawless. I like it better than Smashbox’s pink primer since it fills the pores more completely and it costs less.

So…Kohl’s has started carrying some lines of cosmetics and skincare. Not a bunch, but a few, and I’m not sure if they’re exclusive to Kohls or simply just product lines that haven’t gained much popularity as there was only one brand I’d heard of (Candie’s). Anyhow, I felt since I had braved Kohls during holiday madness, I HAD to at least try something from one of the lines…maybe it would change my mind and leave me surprised? I chose a product from the Good Skin labs line of skincare, honestly because it was 1 of only 2 skincare collections…meaning I was safe from the horror of tester messes at the other cosmetic displays. (Open product displays with countless testers and no SA’s to assist…you can imagine the nasty, untidy, unsanitary yet colorful places the Kohls “makeup counters” are…then throw in the kiddos whos parents liken this area to a Mcdonalds Playland…yeah, its not a good setup lol!). The Good Skin products are packaged to look almost “prescription” grade for effect, and there was a pleasing range of creams, correctives, serums, primers, skin care, etc. I chose Z-pore for its claims to “completely fill and conceal pores all day” and reviews on the web showed it to be listed as having a Good Housekeeping seal of approval yet i couldnt find input from any real person that had actually used it…interesting. I was satisfied with the GH seal of approval so I plopped down my $27 bucks and was on my way. Ok, I have huge pores (yay genetics!)and am always on the hunt for the perfect primer, so I do NOT expect miracles. Z-Pore is a slightly tinted slightly thick substance (think Perfekt perfecting gel). When I first applied it, I was actually impressed! It appeared to conceal some of my pores and make others less noticeable. This is not a whole face primer, just a pore corrector, so it’s only to be used in problem areas. It did NOT agree with my moisturizer (Chanel Hydramax), but I allowed it to dry, primed the rest of my face, and began my makeup routine…only to come to a screeching halt. It was business as usual with my foundation except the areas where I used Z-Pore. Those areas were cakey and stodgy and just gross. Ok, I thought, it just doesn’t like my foundation…so I washed my face and started over. Used a different moisturizer (this time Origins Starting Over w/Mimosa) and different foundation. Same result. It became a pilly mess over my moisturizer (yes I had allowed my moisturizer to absorb completely) and cakey mess under my foundation. Totally disgusting. I’ve since tried it with 5 other foundations, same thing with them as well…and the only moisturizer it agreed with was Simple’s Vital Vitamin Day Cream. It also gave my tiny whiteheads every morning after I had attempted to use it the day before. I never break out…so it takes something nasty for me to complain about clogged pores. In short…if you’re looking for a product to wear alone and have skin in the lighter range of tones, this may be for you…but watch out for the pore clogging nightmare that follows the day after use. It hates foundation, is thick and pasty, and does not blend well at all. A total bust. I can get Laura Gellar’s Spackle in this price range and its 10x the product…just to name one. Looks like my first swing at Good Skin Labs was a foul ball…this stuff is just awful 🙁
