Ultimately, it’s pretty generic– but, still, a notch above BBW’s usual olfactory drivel. All I really smell is the fig part, and BBW’s alchemists did a nice job of capturing the slightly earthy, peaty notes of fresh figs, and not just the sweetness. As a result, the fragrance is balanced and has a naturalness to it that most of their fruity-Jello-shot shower gels lack. Back in the early-to-mid-’00s, fig scents were everywhere. I even had a Lauder lipstick scented like figs. BBW, of course, also had to cash in on that… and here we are.
Brown Sugar & Fig is nice enough that I use the shower gel, although I wouldn’t go so far as to use the lotion or mist. The gel alone leaves a pleasant but fleeting earthy-fruity aura that doesn’t clash with my perfumes.

The used to be one of my favorite scents, until recently. Maybe it’s just me, but the scent doesn’t smell the same. More “muskier”. What’s up with these nasty musk scents added just about every darn scent they have now?

This fragrance is unlike anything B&BW has ever made. It’s warm and sweet, yet fresh at the same time. It’s a very pretty scent and the staying power is awesome for a body mist. I’m glad I chose to revisit this after many years!

I asked the saleslady which among their fragrances have a fresh and clean scent suitable for hot days, then she introduced BBW Brown Sugar and Fig. At first sniff from the bottle, I find it quite disgusting. Another buyer also reacted the same and she commented that it smells like a “dust transformed into a body spray”. I just smiled and ask the saleslady to put a single spritz on my arm, then I continue roaming around the store having a hope on this one. Several perfumes reacted differently with my body chemistry… so basically I don’t judge them alone on the initial spray or a sniff from the bottle.
After about 5 mins,.. i find a sweet, woody, yet clean scent from my arm and can’t believe that this is it!! ..Smells GORGEOUS!! It also has good longevity because that single spritz lasted for around 3 to 4 hrs on mys skin,, not bad for a body mist.
Can’t wait to get the lotion version to layer with and improve the lasting power .
This is now one of my favorites from BBW!

This used to be one of maybe 3 or 4 scents from Bath & Body Works that I liked. I appreciate that it’s warm and sweet, with no trace of Warm Vanilla Sugar. It’s a nice comfort scent, and definitely good for fall.
However, it just doesn’t excite me enough to hold onto. I feel like it has a sort of generic yet easily-recognizable quality. I have wayyy too many fragrances, and I just don’t find this interesting enough to keep.

I have the candle for this product. I can only purchase B&BW online, but the name sounded deliciously enticing that I placed an order. This was not what I expected at all. It’s definitely sweet, which I don’t mind at all, but it’s so heavy. If the scent were toned down a notch, I might actually enjoy it. But it is too darn strong that even taking a whiff of it when it’s unlightened gives me a headache. Too overpowering in my opinion.

This has always been my favorite B&BW fragrance I’ve ever had (aside from Chocolate Covered Amber which was unfortunately dropped off of the ends of the earth). While it’s certainly on the sweet and heavy side, it’s also light at the same time. It’s very well balanced, not too syrupy and it’s got a good fruity part as well. No matter how large my fragrance collection gets I’ll always come back to this one.

This scent was the one I wore for long time years ago, I loved it when I used it, and had everything in the line for layering. My hubby always loved the scent and complimented me when I wore this. But recently, I was cleaning out my linen closet and came across a bunch of brand new bottles of this and I almost gag when I smell it now. It’s funny, back in my 20’s I have always preferred food/fruit smelling type perfumes and could not stand or stomach florals at all! Now that I’m in my 30’s it’s going complete opposite for me, the food/fruit ones are turning my stomach and gag. I also use to love the Warm Vanilla Sugar, and HOLY gag!! Now I only can tolerate the florals and clean scents. Right now I have Victoria’s Secret Pink Fresh and Clean and LOVE it, and I also bought the B&BW Country Chic and love that.

I love this scent! My husband purchased it for me a few years ago. He is really sensitive to perfume, so to have is approval is a plus. It is sweet (but not overly so) and musky. I get compliments often when I wear it. I fear it will be discontinued soon since they haven’t updated the packaging, so I have been stocking up.
