I have fair skin and I love this product. I put it on before I apply my foundation and it instantly gets rid of any redness that I may have on my face. I’m always impressed with Chanel cosmetics.

Wel, i’ve been tryibg this tging for avout a week. And ive got to say, for an oily skined gal (i know my profil says combination, havent changed it yet). This base is kinda sendt from heaven. I use it two ways, as a base, or I mix it with my foundation. It really make the foundation stick longer, without getting cakey and disgusting. it doesn’t make my pores look like a…moon crate. And it doesn’t come of if your a bit rough while applying (the primer from smashbox. Does nothing for me). It also made my skin lobg even and illuminating, before i applied the foundation. But for f-sake, i cant use it as a foundation (like some people believe) but as for me, being pale as a sheet with freckles, its aweesome to lighten my favorite foundation (I use lancome teint miracle 010, and its too dark on its own). So Suddenly i’m able to use most of my golden foundations after all!

I know I’m late in the game, but I just picked this stuff up today. I’m in my 30s, so even weekly facials can’t hide pores as well as they used to. I tried Laura Mercier’s primer, and it was okay, but this one blows that one out of the water. I wore it today over some Kiehl’s moisturizer, and it looked amazing even without make up on top. I don’t wear heavy foundation, so my Vincent Longo Water Canvas didn’t take away from the illuminating aspect of this primer. I liked it a lot, and, in case people are still annoyed by the packaging, it now comes with a handy pump, so your spatula woes are over.
I’m going to wear it every day for a week to make sure that it doesn’t dry out my skin, as sometimes things take a few days for any problems to arise, but I’m definitely satisfied right now.

i have never tried other primers before so i can’t compare. although this product is white in colour but it blends nicely (i have asian yellow skin). a thin layer is enough to help hold my foundation (chanel vitalumiere aqua) and concealer (estee lauder double wear). it gives my skin a little extra glow too and i sometimes wear it without my foundation. it does not emphasizes pores but does nothing about it either.

I really like this stuff. I bought it about a year ago but only started using it this September. It’s a white, illuminating primer (I think – at least that’s what I use it for) and I can put this over moisturiser and leave the house with no foundation if I choose. It sort of blurs everything out. My skin is quite pale (I’m NW20 in MAC powder) so it works well for me. I’ve good skin but I do have a little redness and some larger pores around my nose and this doesn’t emphasise them. I think this now comes with a pump bottle but I have the old one but I’ve never been one of those that worries about it being unhygienic as it’s just my fingers and my skin so I’ve never seen the problem in glass jars you dip into. I would say though that trying to get to the last of the product is going to be tricky (guess I’ll have to leave it upside down) but since it now comes with a lump, maybe that will sort that out.

This is definitely a product that grew on me. Its different than the ones you’d get at Sephora, meaning its very fluid and sheer. Im olive complexion and the white seems a bit scary at first but it blends beautifully. My skin is sensitive and slightly oily in certain areas but dry in others. This seems to read your skin perfectly and your makeup just marries itself to it. It lasts me a while (as long as you moisturize a little goes a long way) but because it is pricey I’m searching to see if I can find something else that I like as much. I’m not sure I’m going to find much luck. It’s also not as easy to find Chanel cheaper online, other brands are a bit easier. I’m a bit of a product junky but very loyal to the ones that I love. That being said, if I ran out of this and a few others from Chanel that I loved at the same time, I’d be putting a pretty hefty dent into my paycheck. LOL.

I actually like it and have been using it since a couple of month. I stopped using the spatula that was inside the package. Instead I press once against the back of my hand and carefully remove it. I know it’s not really hygienical but it’s the only way that works well for me and, of course, I always wash my hands before applying makeup.
As for the product itself, it has a nice floral scent, gets absorbed quickly and actually improves the way my foundation (Dior, Nude, 30) stays on my skin. I think it really does what it says and as for the price, a little goes a long way, so I’m not complaining.
UPDATE 9July 2013: found out that this products goes better under a liquid foundation with powdery finish (Diorskin Nude) rather than a dewy/silky one (YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat). I decided to test the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat after applying Le Blanc de Chanel and found the result to be way to glowy/shiny. Especially in the light. So I guess the result depends on the type of your foundation and your skin type, of course. (For ref: mine is combination)

It is only my first week using this product but I really enjoy it. As with all of Chanel’s skin care/use proucts it is lightly scented. I personally enjoy the scent as it is very fresh and puts my senses into the delicate world of my beauty regime.
I have dry skin and this product helps deliver moisture while reducing the apperance of redness on my cheeks. It does as it says and illuminates the skin adding an additional touch of radiance and glow to my look. I do use this everyday and apply Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua over top. The beauty of this base is it allows the foundation to spread smoothly and evenly causing me to use less of it.
There is 1oz of product in the bottle which can easily last 4 months. As with other reviews I am not too keen on the spatula for application. I am very careful with bacteria coming into contact with my face or products so it is beneficial to keep a bottle of rubbing alcohol close to the spatula to ward off any unwanted bacterial contact/growth.
I will buy again.

I just want to say flat out that this product is NOT worth the money. It really has no ‘wow’ factor, and sorry, but the spatula is such a stupid idea?! Seriously?! Chanel, how hard is it to design this with a pump.
This really stung my eyes, more so than any other ‘base’ that i’ve used.
Also, after flipping through the Chanel booklet that came with this product, NOWHERE does it say in the list of ‘claims’ that it also makes make-up last longer. It basically says it illuminates your skin, giving a youthful glow.
Does this mean I should really have to wear this ONTOP of a primer that actually claims to make my make-up last longer?
Do I have a youthful glow? Meh! Is it luxurious? Meh. Over priced? Yeah!
I was a HUGE fan of the original base that was a white paste and came in a big tub.
This is not what I thought it would be, and I regret spending money on it.

This product does what it should, it makes my skin smooth and my foundation lasts a lot longer when I wear it. It has a really nice, subtle smell and does not irritate my sensitive skin at all.
However I wish that it had something like a pump or a pipette because you get a little spatula with the product which you have to use to get it out off the glass bottle. This isn’t the biggest problem for me, but less organized people could loose it and I can imagine that that would be a pain.
