I got this free (see below).*
IMHE, this is a great lipstick. It is a well-moistuirzed and a well-pigmented (but not overly so) vampy lippie that i like to call the perfect “daytime vamp” as it can be worn day or night depending how you wish to apply it. It leans on the blue-tone side of things (cool toned) so it works with my fair complexion. I think i’m relatively neutral as i am not olive but neither am I a PPP; I tend to run a bit pink in my overall coloring. This lipstick color really makes the green in my eyes POP like woah and is just a terrific tube for special occasions and for when I want to look more pulled-together and professional. It makes me look quite mature (I mean that in a good way, as I’m in my early 30’s already!) in a sexy kind of way. I don’t wear it often but it is a staple in my armitage of makeup weaponry for specific needs/occasions. I love how it applies too – no lipliner necessary, no awful pigment bleeding or feathering, and draws on with good precision.
*FYI: My mother gave me this lipstick as she didn’t think it suited her. FTR, she’s a natural blonde, blue-eyed but w/ medium skin coloring (neutral to warm tonend i think) who tans VERY dark despite wanting it – yeah she’s an interesting specimen for a blonde blue-eyed lady of Northern European ethnicity (we kid that someone must’ve lied and actually was Greek or Portuguese somewhere along the line, lol) And i envy her! Anyway, i have the same natural blonde hair but I do NOT tan easily (nor do I try) and am very fair, leaning towards the “rosy”-ier side of peaches and cream (roses and cream, I guess?). I have green-to-hazel-y eyes and despite the natural blonde hair like my mom and sis, my eyebrows don’t match my hair quite right as they are a defined dark-blonde, light brown and full. Just for the record in case this helps give a better idea of who it may work for or won’t.

Does anyone remember years ago when Kevyn Aucoin was on Oprah and he put together a “must haves” kit of beauty products that he said would work for anyone? It was something like $40. They were completely overrun with orders and it took several weeks before I received my box. But oh, was it worth it. Because included in that box was this gorgeous, gorgeous lipstick. This is one of my “take to a desert island” lipsticks. You can just stain your lips with it, or pump up the volume. Is there anything better than when a makeup item is almost like it was made for you? Where there’s that instant sensation of falling in love? Where you know it will never, every let you down when you really want to shine? Well, Cranberry Lemonade is that shade for me. I am very grateful to Kevyn for his suggestions all those years ago.

I was really surprised by the low reviews for this product. It is the only red lipstick I have every bought twice. My skin is fair with a yellow undertone, but has a lot of pink in it. This color is just right on me, not too cool and not too warm. It is a really “casual” red lipstick. It is almost a gloss, doen’t need a liner, and you can apply it really quickly without a lot of fuss and precision. I like this color when I wear black clothing. It is moist, has no fragrence and no taste.

Great lipstick for yellowish-toned skin. It really wakes up my face, especially when I don’t want to wear any other makeup. I would definitely buy again, I just wish it were a bit longer lasting.

The only reason why I gave this lipstick two lippies instead of one is because if you mix a little of this with Byzantine Pink, you get the prettiest coral shade ever that really compliments a tan. Other than that, this shade is a total waste of money. It’s basically a light red tint, but you could get the same kind of color by using Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper or just by sucking on lollipops the entire day; either way it will cost you alot less. The shade is just really boring and a natural red tint can be obtain in a number of ways (try MAC’s lustre lipstick in House Wine or in Lady Bug if you really want a lipstick formula). Don’t waste your money.

I have this in a pretty lipstick palette from Fresh. It’s a beautiful colour—Sashayy did a great job with the description—but a bit cool for my NC30-35 colouring. I can wear it but it’s not a fave red. Would be extremely pretty on someone more cool toned.

Fresh lipsticks are smooth and easy to apply. Cranberry Lemondade is a medium rather matte and somewhat sheer medium cherry red with slight blue overtones. The name is apt because this does remind me of the colour of cranberry juice. The colour is too strong and dramatic for my tastes though for my very pale neutral to warm skin. I wouldn’t repurchase this colour.
