I have a couple of these (black, plum, bright purple, turquoise, and khaki). They do smudge on me ( I use a waterproof Chanel EL for my top to make my eyes appear rounder). I like using the khaki and some of the brighter colors to add a lil something different w/o being too harsh (esp the khaki it’s light enough to not look overdone). The black however is not my favorite, while it is a true nice black, it just doesn’t have the staying power for such a dark color (when they smudge, you can tell!).

I have the green one, and I mostly like it. The problem is, I like to apply my eyeshadow first, so it doesn’t block out the eyeliner. This one you cannot see it very well over my eyeshadow on certain colors. I like to wear my Clinique Sparkling Sage with this liner over it, but you can only see a shimmer on the base color. Overall, I think this is a nice eyeliner, and comes out better on lighter base colors. It s also a light color, so I also wear it with nothing else, just by itself.

This did not work for me. I have the greenish colored one and it just goes on way too light. Even when I apply it with a heavy hand, I cannot see it enough. It does tend to just disappear completely throughout the day too. I would not repurchase. I am keeping it though so I can use the little blender tip for my Chanel Waterproof eyeliner.

I have only one of these liners in brown. Mine glides on pretty well. It’s not anything spectacular. It doesn’t last all day. I wear it smudged on purpose for a subtle look. I like it the best as a lip liner for the more earthy colored lipsticks.
I too own the 5 piece limited edition Clarins pencils from summer 2004. These pencils are exceptional. They glide on like butter and last. My favorites out of the 5 are the gold one and the white gold one. I wish all of the Clarins pencils were made like this special set!

HORRIBLE eyeliner, it leaked and moved all over my eyes, and when I got home I looked like a freakin’ panda bear.
Would never ever buy this again, or tell people to get it.

There must be something wrong with me, but I actually bought another one of these (Indigo Blue) after hating the first one (in Mauve).
These pencils are really not good. The colours are just not right – too bright, too tacky, don’t know how to describe it. The texture is also difficult to get used to – it’s very soft and smudgy but it doesn’t stay on very well. On top of all that, they are just way too expensive.

These smudge on my oily eyelids unless I topset with eyeshadow, but I still like these more than the Waterproof version. I find these sharpen more easily (they are wood not plastic) and have prettier colors. My favorites are Brown 02 and Gold 07 for lining under my eyes. Gold 07 especially makes my blue eyes pop, and tones down my dark under-eye circles with golden light. Try it if you are over 35 or have blue eyes!

I don’t understand how people can say this eyeliner goes on smoothly. It pulls on my lids and skips. I hate it and I’m going back to my Lancome eyeliner.
