Let me begin by stating that this product is NOT from the Korean brand Skinfood, it is a separate company under a similar name, Skinfood New Zealand.
I purchased this at my local Marshalls after seeing a modest amount of positive ratings online and nothing in the ingredients list set me off as being too acne-causing. My skin is typically easy to take care of, but I’m a ‘goo hoarder’ and I love trying out new products a little too frequently, which has led me to breakouts which then leads me in a maniacal circle of fix-repair-acne over and over…. Anywhoo, this product definitely has paid off for me. While this is not HG for me, it is good and for the price I paid, about $7, for 100ml I’m satisfied.
Pros and Cons breakdown:
Pros: healing moisturizer, gives nourishment without causing breakouts, I personally slather this on top of new acne scabs and marks to help them heal.
Cons: a little tricky here, doesn’t sink in fully, leaves a slightly sticky layer that you have to pat into the skin and be patient with, for this reason recommend night usage.
Overall, as a gel lover this cream is definitely pleasant to use and I hope to find it again at other Marshalls locations or I will be bummed!

supermarket brand, NZ made. It is a really lovely moisturiser that does in fact nourish your skin. Family favourite. Gentle, appropriate for my combo-sensitive skin. Used regularly. Subtle smell. Paraben free which is fabulous.
