If I could find this product again it would be great!
I used this during hot and humid summer months and also because I swim a lot. It is the ONLY mascara that didn’t budge while I was swimming. At first I did not like it and had a hard time applying it. But after getting the hang of applying it I absolutely LOVED this mascara!
The Jane line has disappeared from all the stores around where I live. If anyone can tell me where to find it that would be awesome!

This is, by far, one of my top mascara picks. I use it on top of other mascaras for thicker, longer lashes, but honestly, it does both of those itself perfectly! I do have clumping problems sometimes, but nothing that a toothpick or tweezer end can’t fix!
As for it being waterproof, it was more than waterproof for me! It was makeup remover-proof, too, a bunch of times! It does smear though, sometimes, and leaves you looking like a raccoon if you rub your eyes, but that’s my fault for doing that.
Overall, I love this mascara!

Holds curl and doesnt weigh my eyelashes down after curling. Too much product on the wand FOR ME so I scrape off the excess back into the tube because I like the light natural look. Havent gone swimming with it so Im not sure if its truly waterproof.
Downside, it smudges underneath my eye. Because of that I will not purchase again.

This mascara reminds me of another by CG (not sure of the name). It is extremely fibrous. I know that this is good for length, but when the fibers are so obvious that they stick to your lashes sideways because there is so many, it can become a problem.
I prefer thickening mascaras but decided to give this a try since I don’t have a brown mascara and this was super cheap. Figured it can’t hurt to try. One side is the white primer, which is really creamy and sticky (like Elmer’s glue). It doesn’t dry super white so I don’t end up with white eyelashes application. The other side of the tube is brown to black, which is like a really dark brown. You would use it like any other mascara with a primer… primer first, wait to dry, than apply mascara.
The packaging is decent, nothing extra special. The wands are both the same – medium size. I like that the mascara lengthens well, it does not thicken as much as I’d like even with the primer, but I always pair mascaras anyway so it’s no big deal. It has the potential to clump and cause lashes to stick together because of the millions of tiny fibers. If they stick together I usually just use a toothpick or something small to separate lashes and remove any of the fibers that may be sticking out in the wrong direction.
Overally it’s a good product. I will not repurchase simply because it is not spectacular. It’s a good emergency/replacement mascara since it’s cheap and performs as well as many other drug store mascaras that cost twice as much.

I have this mascara in deep ocean and I adore it. It is near impossible to clump and the blue topcoat makes my brown eyes pop more so than plain black. Seeing as it was on sale at Walgreens, I am very happy. I think it may have been discontinued, but it is at the top of my makeup bag for now.

I really like this mascara..been using it for years.Before this one I used Jane’s mascara in ‘grape curl’ religiously(but that one is hard to find-discontinued?) I know you can still buy this one and ‘fan club’ style through Jane’s web-site.Last time I had to order on-line.Used to get this at Walgreens.I only use this style in ‘Deep Ocean’ (a pretty dark purple/blue very similar to grape curl) I don’t even use the white primer end.I’ve tried it..but it tends to clump up my lashes a little, like I’m putting too much product on.I love big lashes,I get a very full and smooth effect from only using the color side.Unique color that is very flattering to my brown eyes.I’ve tried a lot of colored fun mascaras,and most of them burn my eyes.Jane is the only mascara I’ve tried that doesn’t bother my eyes in the long run.I Do Not however like the ‘Hi-fiber’ style! very irritating..chunky,plastic?,fiber lash like bits..that scratch my eyes to a itchy point of madness! they did look longer though 😉

I was excited to try this mascara ~ I love colored mascara and I have been searching for my HG since I lost my lashes due to illness months ago. I ordered Aubergine and waited anxiously for my new mascara.
With the Aubergine shade, you apply the black first. As I applied the black, I noticed that it was junk ~ no volume, no length, nothing but clumps with skinny lashes that stuck together. I tried to comb my lashes, but nothing helped. Next, I applied the Aubergine. It looked like a beautiful red in the tube ~ the color reminded me of red velvet cake. I got more clumps and more clumps, so I stopped ~ onto the next eye.
On the other eye, I applied Max Factor Rich Black instead of the Jane black. Then I applied the Aubergine. Again, Aubergine = clumps. I noticed if I combed my lashes out quickly, they looked pretty good. Unfortunately, when I checked my side view in broad daylight, the Aubergine was barely noticeable.
I like the idea of this product, and may try one of the blue shades. Do not use the black ~ it’s worthless…Be sure to use the colored mascara with your favorite black mascara…

I think that this is an amazing product!
1st of all the wand is fabulous, its not too big or too small.
Secondly, this gives great volume and length.
I would compare this to Cover Girl Last Blast (Which i love)
I love the primer too. And best of all this mascara doesn’t clump!! 🙂

It gives gorgeous length and volume. I like the primer more than the mascara part but together it’s great. This is all I plan on using for bottom lashes because they look gorgeous. My only complaints are that it could be blacker and it dries out pretty fast. Oh and I don’t like the defining version.

i got the blue to black version of this.. i dont use the blue side mascara often but they have both same effect.. this mascara really lengthens my lashes, i use this along with my volumizing mascara, and the effect is really gorgeous.. theres no smudging on me, and it lasts long..
ill buy this again if i cant find better than this..
