I was drawn to this pencil because of the stick format. But, I found it tugged too much on th elid when applied directly from the stick and I didn’t get enough product. I tried applying to a brush like I do with other eye stick products and still couldn’t pick up enough product. Then, I tried applying the stick to my finger and putting it onto the lid; again, I wasn’t getting much product.
The price was great and others seem to like it. If yoou are willing to tug on the lids to get product to apply, you may like this but I prefer to be gentle with delicate skin around the eye.
Wouldn’t buy this again and not sure I will bother keeping it and trying to make it work.

This is not the worst eye primer I’ve used and because it was so inexpensive I really can’t complain too much. Many people really like this product, but I was not one of them. I have oily eyelids and so I need a primer that will really hold up and withstand the oil. I think the one from E.L.F. for like $2.00 is a better selection than this one in terms of how long it lasts. I noticed creasing with this product at the end of my work day, which isn’t bad but with other primers for the eyes that I’ve used (drugstore), they’ve lasted longer. I don’t really like the pencil packaging. I’d rather it come in a squeeze tube, different format but whatever. Not impressed. Wouldn’t suggest you buy.

This definitely is not the worst primer I have ever tried but it it is very light. I found it does better with light shadows that you don’t mind if they have a lot of color impact. It is also not the longest lasting primer in the world. I wouldn’t use it for an all day event. If asked, I would recommend Color Tatoos or a creamy primer like Jordana primer (a color canceling primer with a friendly price) Both of those a heavy and creamier to grab onto the color. My eyelids are average but I use a lot of eyeshadow so I don’t know how these would work for you.

This does next to nothing for me. I have extremely oily lids, and thus far have not been able to find an eye primer that actually keeps my shadow from creasing. I have tried many, from low to high end. I like the ease of use of this product, and I like that it blends in easily. But I have creasing within an hour or two. It’s very inexpensive, so that is another plus if you want to give it a try.

Wow. I am impressed with this little drugstore eye primer. I picked this up yesterday at HEB and didn’t pay much for it, only a couple of dollars I think. I tried it out just for fun and really didn’t expect too much from this little cheapie product. Today was a really hot day out and I had to blot my face numerous times to wipe the sweat from my brows and beneath my glasses. Imagine my surprise when at the end of the day I went to remove my makeup and discovered that not only was my eyeshadow still intact and colorful but not a single crease, no caking up, no fading, and it didn’t budge despite the fact that I was rather sweaty numerous times in the summer heat. I didn’t exercise or stay in the heat all day but I did walk the dog numerous times on several 10-15 minutes walks and spent several gab sessions with the neighbors outdoors as well. So yes, this stuff stayed on in this Texas heat and humidity and I am really impressed. My makeup has been on for 12 hours now and the eyeshadow and liner are still going strong with this primer as a base. This was an easy application and went on well with the little crayon but I did use my finger to pat it into my skin before the first layer of base shadow was applied over this. Honestly this held up as well if not better than my Urban Decay primer does and the cost is less than a fiver while the UD will run you a solid twenty. This little beauty is available at drugstores and much easier to obtain too. Low price. It works. Win. Win. Gotta love it!

This is a really fantastic drugstore eye primer. I have noticed that my eyeshadow stays flawless all day when I put a swipe of this on first. I really like the texture too, and the stick form is very easy. Would highly recommend as a better alternative to high end eye primers!

This is a great drugstore option, with just a few cons. First, the pros: the stick format is super convenient, and the texture is light enough that when patted out it doesn’t get cakey like the Milani or Jordana cream colored sticks can get. I also like the color of this better than those products because I think those can be too stark and too white on my lids and alter the color of my shadows too much. This is just disappears right into the skin and evens out any discoloration but isn’t too noticeable. The cons here are few and not significant for me: the texture can be kind of crumbly, I find that I have to run my finger over the top of this and pat it on, when I try to draw it on to the lid directly it can be really crumbly. Also, sometimes the whole stick of product does come out of the tube, but I can just press it in. And I do love that the lid clicks into place so you don’t have to worry that the lid’s going to come off in your makeup bag. I find the lasting power of this to be really great, however I do wear Nars pro prime eyeshadow primer underneath. If I wear this by itself, I only get about 4 hours before I get creasing. However, I do think the average person could use this alone and not have any problems, I just have super oily lids and have to use the Nars even under MAC paint pots, Mally shadow sticks, and Maybelline color tattoos. But this does have a valuable place in my routine, and I use it every day in place of my MAC soft ochre now.

I learned about this product via Emilynoel83 on youtube. Right now I’m using an eye primer I got from Ulta but I forget the name of (LA Splash?). It works well but it’s like UDPP and most others with the doe foot applicator: you’ve got to daub it on and spread it around your lid and let it set a bit before you apply your eyeshadow. I know, that’s not so hard but I like to streamline things. This is a fat pencil that you uncap and stroke on like lipstick. No setting required. A few light strokes and put on your shadow. No spreading, no rubbing, no setting required, and it markedly intensifies the color. BTW I have oily lids and my shadow lasts all day with this. It doesn’t actually work better than my UDPP and the stuff I got from Ulta, it’s just easier to use. Oh, yeah, AND IT’S CHEAP! Regular price is $2.99. I got this at the CVS BOGO sale plus I used the coupons from the paper so I got 2 for $2.50. I will definitely buy more of these for each makeup bag. THANKS EMILY!!!
UPDATE 10/12/15: The product keeps falling out of the tube now, and I haven’t even tried to twist it up! GRRRR. Subtracting a lippie.
