The kids version is my family’s miracle cream. I always have tubes lying around because this stuff is so good. It clears my babies’ diaper rashes overnight, makes dry spots vanish and is an excellent, non-greasy hand cream. It smells a bit medicinal and the tube can develop cracks that product squeezes out of, but both are manageable. There are a lot of products advertised as gentle, “all natural” and organic that irritate my kids’ sensitive skin. This works beautifully and never irritates them.

My skin has been breaking out really bad lately and I was desperate for a super basic moisturizer that doesn’t have any active ingredients to soothe my skin. It comes in a squeeze-able tube, which is nice because I don’t have to dip my finger like you would normally do in jar creams. The product has a really bad hospital/medicated scent, but after one use you quickly get used to it.
RESULT: (in one week)
The Product is very soothing and very moisturizing. The redness of my acne has gone down significantly and I have no visible bumps anymore, but I do have dark spots from the left over pimples. My skin is oily and sensitive, so I have to treat this cream as night cream because it makes my skin look oilier than it is. Overall, I am very happy with the results, will continue to purchase until they stop manufacturing it.
Will update in a month.
EDIT: (one month)
Still using it and it doesn’t break me out. Loving it. I layer on a thick amount of this product after exfoliating my skin every week and it does the job to soothe and protect.
Update: May 2017
I no longer use this product because it was too heavy for my skin. It did soothe my large cystic acne in the past but it gave me clogged pores. I think the ingredient P-CHLORO-M-CRESOL irritated my skin as well since upon wearing this moisturizr I have the occasional red splotches.

I picked this cream up yesterday after a visit to my doctor. He wrote me a prescription for a cream that was 88 dollars and without benefits was too expensive for me. The pharmacist helped me pick out this cream to use on my eczema spots. After using this for one day my spots are already almost completely gone! I could not be more impressed or satisfied with my purchase, Spectro has exceeded my expectations at 1/6 of the cost.

This product is incredible! I don’t have eczema, but I have extremely dry and flakey skin especially in the winter. This winter my skin has been dryer than ever. I typically use the SpectroJel moisturizer for dry skin and it does the trick, but this winter NOTHING was helping…not even a medicated cream prescribed by my doctor. I finally bought this product and after ONE use my skin was healed. I apply this product after washing my face in the morning and night and it immediately takes away dryness and my skin feels so soft and PERFECT. This cream is extremely thick and has a medicated smell but I don’t care because it works incredibly and the smell does not linger once you put it on the skin. A little goes a long way….The tube cost me about $16 at the drugstore but I know you can buy it at WalMart or Target for around $12. I wouldn’t use this product if you just have dry skin. It is very heavy and unless you have eczema or EXTREMELY dry, irritated, itchy and red skin it will probably break you out and leave you very oily. I also won’t be using this product in the summer because my skin isn’ as dry and all I need is the regular SpectroJel moisturizer for dry skin.

I originally bought this product as a facial moisturizer because although I don’t have eczema, my cheeks get quite dry and flaky in the winter. Unfortunately it broke me out on my chin, however it works wonderfully well for my super dry hands.

I have very very very bad eczema, especially on my face, and I’ve never found a cream as good as this one. I would pay $100 + for it because it has literally changed my life. No, my eczema is not cured. Any cream that claims to cure your eczema, especially when it is as severe as mine, is a lie. However, whenever I get a flare up of eczema on my face, I use this Spectro eczema care and it heals a million times faster, stops a lot of the weeping, and lasts a long time. I recommend that when you have a flare up, apply this obsessively throughout the day. Even when you don’t think you need it (because it is very moisturizing), keep applying it because it will help the flare-up go away faster. I love that it stops the itch-scratch cycle and gives my skin some time to heal.

Lately my cheeks and the area around my eyes (the part where my glasses’ arms cover – I guess I keep forgetting to moisturize that spot) have been feeling unflexible and thick. It was really weird – those areas didn’t feel like skin. After one full day of this cream in those areas, my skin feels like skin again!! My face isn’t tight and itchy anymore. I’m going to try this on my hands and feet next.

The product label for Spectro EczemaCare Intense Rehydration Cream says it “relieves & helps prevent itchy, red, dry skin”.
I used this product to try to relieve some dry patches on my face. However, even though I laid it on thickly, and it did temporarily help with the itchiness/discomfort, it semed to quickly disappear off my skin. I found myself having to reapply it several times an hour, and it never felt like it was really helping at all. The directions say to apply “as often as needed” but this is far too often and inconvenient for me. And my skin remained drier than ever. This product did not work for me for this purpose.
However, if it works for you (and it seems to work for a lot of people, given the previous reviews), then $15 (CAD) for 100g is a very reasonable price. The product comes in a metal tube which is easy to squeeze.
This product has a strong “medicated cream” kind of smell.

Spectro EczemaCare is the best thing in the world. I work with my hands during the day and especially in the winter, my fingertips could easily be mistaken for velcro. This cream changes that and like others have mentioned, it is not greasy at all but moisturizes completely. I’ve tried similar products with less success (e.g. the Body Shop’s Hemp Hand Protector) and I’m so glad this exists or I would have no relief. Without it my hands would continue to crack and bleed and stick to all fabrics. Fantastic stuff. However, I’m not looking forward to the day the sides of the tube start to crack and leak product all over the inside of my purse. I’ll have to throw it in a ziploc bag just in case.

I use both the Kid’s Moisturizing Body Wash and the Intense Rehydration Cream. I actually use the body wash as a face wash during the winter months. It has worked very well with keeping my skin moisturized and calm. For the rehydration cream, I use that on my arms, legs and hands. It seems to take a while to work if you have more severe eczema, but if it’s mild, this cream is great. With both products, I get more manageable skin during the winter. Less redness, itchiness and bumps/rashes. For its price and availability, it is a must have for those that suffer from eczema.
