I really love this product, and I’m not even a balm kind of person. In fact, most balms are just…I don’t understand why they are upward of $25 (bobbi b, dior…i’m speaking to you). I realize some tout the “300 rose petals” crushed in them, and heaven only knows why Bobbi thinks hers is worth as much as it is. But this one is at least as great, and has no detectable sunscreen taste (hi BB!) and even has a hint of color.
It sort of reminds me of a very faint “turkish delight” color, but not glossy. The feel of it is nice and thick, so it’s not meant to be a very glossy or baby-lips kind of product (referring to the Maybelline baby lips in terms of texture).
This is retailing at $12. I think a little goes a long way, and it lasts at least several hours on me, so long as I’m not licking lips or eating. The scent/taste is either non-existent or so mild that I don’t detect it.
While I would think that you could order this online, the best way is to get to an Anthro store and buy in person. I just saw online that they only are offering a selection of items from this line, but at my store in Houston (we have a few, I went to one by the Galleria)…there were many in stock.
Anthro is all about making sales, so if you don’t have one near you, I would call the nearest one to your city, and ask if they can do a ship/send. It might cost shipping, but they’d likely waive it, ESPECIALLY if it’s not available on anthro.com.
The packaging is a bit heavy, and that is the one caveat I think is worth mentioning. If you want to stick this into your jean pocket or small clutch, it would be heavy. But just put it on before you leave…or consider leaving in your car if you don’t live in extreme temperatures! This balm gets an overall “100” rating from me; I think it does very well at being nourishing and providing a little polish to your lips.
