It doesn’t matter which Jill Stuart product you buy, it will make you feel like a princess/mermaid/fairy since the package design is so beautiful and girly.
I bought a few shades of the Jill Stuart lip blossoms and uploaded a picture, so you can see all available colours:
– 04 / petit cherry
– 11 / flamingo plant
– 15 / viola mist
– 18 / elegant peony
Jill Stuart lipsticks (or lip blossoms, as they are called in this case) are typical Japanese lipsticks: super moisturising, slick, with a sheer colour payoff and a glossy finish, so you don’t need to top it with a lipgloss afterwards. This doesn’t mean, that there are no Japanese matte lipsticks, but most of them are on the shinier/glossier side. Thanks to the rich formula, these lipsticks glide like a charm, so the application is super easy and comfortable and they wont leave you with dry or chapped lips. The finish is beautiful, since the JS lippies don’t have those nasty shimmer particles, they just provide this beautiful luminous look, no disco ball effect on the lips. The downside of all luminous lipsticks is their longevity and those are not an exception, I usually need to reapply every 4 hours. I don’t know how well these will work on deep skin colours, since the colour payoff is more on the sheer side but if your skin tone is light-medium, it should work perfectly well and the colour can be built up to a certain point. 🙂

I have 2 of their lipsticks in 04 baby coral and 18 rosy coral. I prefer rosy coral. It is a warmer color. Baby coral is not so pigmented on my lips. Their lipsticks are very smooth and easy to glide on my lips. Very good quality!

I really love Jill Stuart makeup! Their items come in the cutest princessy tubes and compacts it’s just hard to resist! After focusing mainly on their eyeshadows and blushes I decided it was time to try out their lipsticks.
The lipsticks are glamorous and girly as all JS stuff! They come in silver metal tubes with a clear cover and a handle that looks like a jewel! The lipsticks are quite huge and bulky which makes them feel even more luxurious to me.
I got 3 colors, 2 of them have a metallic finish, 1 a slightly shimmery satin finish. All colors are just lovely! The formula is rather pigmented and smooth so the lipstick applies like a dream. The only minor thing I don’t like is that the lipsticks are a tad bit drying so I need to apply an extra dab of lip base underneath. But the colors and finish are just so fantastic that I can’t even deduct a lippy =)
JS lipsticks retail for 2940 (about US$28) which is suprisingly “cheap” for such High-End brand. Other lipsticks like from Maquillage, Coffret D’or or Aube, retail for 3150 and they’re mid-end brands available in drugstores!
There is a faint light fragrance but I am happy to report it vanishes right away. I hate strongly fragranced lip products with a passion!
There are 19 colors available for the time being. I picked out:
#11 Rose Stone: Looks like a very cool mauve but turns a nice pink-mauve when applied. Has a gorgeous metallic finish.
#12 Copper Pink: The name would suggest a very warm color but it’s a fantastic metallic rose-pink.
#19 Sugar Beige: Light nudey beige-pink. Looks lighter on lips than in the tube.
I am a cool-toned PPP/NW15/MQ OC-00/Kate OC-A/Lunasol OC-01/SK II OP-1 with brown eyes.
