I have a hard time with concealers (don’t we all?). They’re either great coverage but wrong colour, or they provide no coverage, or they break me out, or they gather in the fine lines…
Vapour is a concealer I use on my blemishes, and for that, it is really good, but I haven’t been able to work out how to wear it under my eyes successfully.
The problem is that it just looks too shiny. Now, if you’ve read my other reviews, you’ll know I like the dewy look, I hate being matte, however under my eyes I do pull back a bit, because being dewy can enhance the bags under your eyes, so what I want is a nice middle ground, not too oily, but not dry. This concealer is too oily for under my eyes, and frankly, it doesn’t really cover the dark circles. It also tends to gather in the fine lines if you over apply.
As a blemish coverer however… It’s quite good. It’s pigmented enough to hide redness, and it blends into my vapour foundation seamlessly without much hassle (foundation first, then cover the blemishes – if I do it the other way round, applying the foundation wipes off the concealer).
One thing I have to commend vapour for is producing concealers that are actually the same colour as their foundations! A lot of other organic makeup brands just don’t get it! What is the point of making a fair foundation, but having a concealer that’s ten times darker?
Anyway, rant over.
Packaging is good quality, and you get a decent amount for your money.
Hope I haven’t confused you.

Ineffective on very dark under eye circles and on skin discolorations. The consistency is slightly drier than the Mac Studio Finish concealer, but the coverage is much worse.

This concealer is wonderful, it hides under eye circles, highlights, and does not break me out. I got it for around $6 at a B-glowing sale. The link to their website is: They are always having promos and I’m glad I gave this a shot. My skin looks good and although I am a new mom of twins, I don’t look tired.

I have both this product and the luminous foundation stick. I have used both products under my eyes and over imperfections as a concealer and I can say that I prefer the luminous concealer stick to this concealer, for a couple of reasons. First of all, when you get the product, the top of the concealer is flat, which makes it difficult for you to apply the product under your eyes. Secondly, this is more like an opaque version of the luminous foundation, which is fine, but the luminosity of the foundation makes my eyes look more awake and healthy, without making them look sparkly or glittery. Finally, if the luminous foundation doubles easily as a concealer, I do not want to spend extra money on a concealer when the foundation can do the same function. I can tote less products around and get more for my money. This is a good concealer, as it does cover very well and moisturizes, but I think the luminous foundation is even better at this function.

This is my new HG concealer! Not only does it meld into my skin seamlessly, it also doesn’t contain any harmful or gross ingredients. (It would turn your stomach to find out what’s really in regular cosmetics.)
The texture is buttery and finishes with a slight shine that is more true to real skin than a flat matte finish. I usually apply it directly to my undereye area and to blemishes, then blend with fingers or a brush. Regular, water-based concealers take much longer to blend. I don’t use foundation anymore, so I do need it to look natural against bare skin.
Coverage is more than adequate for me. It concealed most of my first-time-mom dark circles, so that’s saying something!
Also, the product lasts for a long time. Using it 2-3 times a week, I don’t think I’ll need to buy a new one for at least a couple of years.
I did invest in buying samples before making my final purchase. I’d rather pay an extra $5 to make sure I had the right shades, than be stuck with a $25 product I’d never use.
With my medium-light Asian skin, 020 is a perfect match, especially when I’m a little more tan in the summer.

I thankfully only purchased a sample so I can’t really review the packaging, however I do not want that to throw off my rating. This product is not good at all. I really wanted it to be since I have been looking for a great organic beauty line.
The concealer did not do a good job covering my undereye circles. It caked up and especially caked up really really horribly after I put a light layer of translucent mineral powder over it. My eyes looked caked up and wrinkly after that. I had to wash it off and reapply different concealer.
I am telling you this is one of the worst products I have used and would never use it again. The only good thing is that it is formulated with organic, natural ingredients.

I recieved Vapour’s Illusionist concealer in a swap in the shade 100 which is just a bit too light for me, but I have since sampled the 110 and definitely intend to purchase it next.
This concealer is packed with skin-conditioning ingredients and feels very moisturizing, but not greasy on my combination skin. I like that is doesn’t make either my somehwat drier around-the-eye skin or the oddly textured skin around blemishes look flaky or more noticeable, even by the end of a long day.
I think it’s great as an under eye concealor and it can be applied sheer or built up for more coverage and I don’t *usually* have severe dark circles, I just need a little brightening most of the time. I usually dab a bit on directly from the stick and then blend with either my finger or a concealer brush and I’m ready to top with foundation.
Even though, as mentioned, Illusionist is a bit sheer (with only one layer) I find it works really well for blemishes as well. I hate concealers that cake on so thickly it’s obvious that you have covered a spot there. I use my finger to apply a dab of this over each spot, adding more if needed, then blend a bit around the edges to get moderate-to-almost-full coverage. This isn’t product that I would recommend for full coverage by itself, but it’s perfect for lightening up spots you want totally hidden once you apply your foundation. I follow with a dusting of Alima Satin Matte foundation and the combination hides everything nicely.
