Love this. I have really thin, fine hair that historically has been quite dry, and has recently gotten oilier. When I had dry hair this made my hair soft and bouncy without weighing it down. Since it’s quite moisturising and does add shine, I no longer use it if I’m having an oily hair day, but if I’ve used a clarifying or stripping shampoo, one dose of this restores my hair to perfect condition. And it smells good – a light, citrus fragrance.

Working my way through the Andalou Naturals condishes! While I found the Sweet Orange and Argan a touch too heavy for my fine/porous hair, the Brilliant Shine has been great! Smells like lemonade, and does an excellent job of detangling. If I’m patient enough to let it sit on my hair for more than a minute, the nourishing feeling is amplified. I don’t particularly notice any shine enhancement, but I generally read that as “citrus based” on most natural conditioners, and “contains lotsa silicone” with drugstore brands. Haha! Will buy again, but not until I’ve given the Lavender Biotin a test drive! Definitely recommend their conditioners!

I use this conditioner along with the matching shampoo and love it. I was tired of sulfate-ridden, overly-scented, harsh shampoos, especially as I was growing out a pixie cut. I needed something gentle and yet pleasant to use and reasonably priced. This is one of the best brands of hair products on the market…organic, cruelty free, and free of harsh chems and silicones. Plus, this Sunflower and Citrus version smells so clean and refreshing. Yum.
Because of using this shampoo and conditioner (I also use their Argan Oil + Leave-In conditioner, too), my hair is now down to my shoulders and very healthy.
Bottom line: Love this conditioner. Light, fresh, natural scent, nice bounce to my hair.

Been using this for a bit over a month on my wavy 2b hair.. I have some damaged outer layers but the majority of the hair is normal-to-fine and doesn’t benefit from heavy conditioning. The combination of sunflower oil and other ingredients in this gives hair excellent slip and feels very light, seems to help define waves. After my first time using this shampoo + cond. combo and ‘plopping’ with a tshirt I noticed that even while damp the hair seemed to feel more moisturized and soft. Instant holy grail product!
Lately I’m not sure if something else has changed in my hair (bad dry winter) or if I’ve just grown accustomed to the nice results but I don’t feel as wowed by this product. Perhaps it isn’t so great for super low humidity (<15%!!) and cold conditions but may work better in other seasons. Ordered a Giovanni conditioner to try out in its place b/c of the high cost of this stuff (8.99 for 340mL) but will likely come crawling back. 😉 My recommendation: Pair this with the Coconut curl cream by dessert essence for very nice moisturized waves!

This was on sale at Whole Foods when I bought it (50% off!!!!), and I absolutely love it. It smells great, and you can really feel it smoothing the hair after you apply it, and after it is rinsed out. It has really softened my hair a lot (and it was quite damaged before from bleaching, color removing, highlighting, coloring, heat appliances, etc). Give it a try!

I’m writing a tentative review because I just tried this last night. I had been using Giovanni 50:50 Conditioner with their Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo, but my scalp was getting incredibly dry and itchy, so I decided to purchase this conditioner and the acompanying shampoo because the citrus was clarifying while the sunflower was nourishing.
Previous to using this conditioner, my ends were incredibly dry and poofy. No amount of the 50/50 conditioner made any sort of difference, and provided no slip or detangling properties. This conditioner, however, provided perfect slip, allowing me to run my hands through it. I only applied from midshaft down to the ends (I normally have an oily scalp). I Didn’t blow dry my hair, just my bangs to make them lie straight, and I had no problem combing my hair with a comb either.
The final result was very soft, silky shiny hair. I am so far very impressed, as my scalp feels moisturized without being weighed down. It isn’t as itchy either. I will update again after more continued use.
EDIT: I have taken off a lippie for this shampoo/conditioner because of the price and the fact that my scalp seems to be over producing sebum since using… Meaning it’s making more oil 🙁

I wear my normal, fine chin-length hair in a bob. My fickle hair is neither straight nor curly. I blow it straight every 3 to 4 days when I shampoo and condition. Otherwise I use a straight iron for touchups. I don’t color or otherwise process my hair. I can’t use products with silicones of any type.
I prefer a light conditioner that provides some moisture but won’t weigh down my fine hair. My goal is shiny, swingy, healthy hair. This formula offers the right balance of moisture and detangling, which my hair needs after using the Moisture Rich shampoo. Even without an abundance of oils and butter (and no silicone) I think this conditioner has nice slip. It rinses clean and leaves my hair detangled, soft, and lightly moisturized. The fresh, clean scent is pleasant in the shower but doesn’t hang around once my hair is dry.
Andalou Naturals makes a pretty big deal of the stem cell technology included in their shampoo and conditioner. I don’t buy their haircare products for the technology. I don’t believe the stem cells make a bit of difference on my already dead hair. I suppose my scalp could benefit, but the products are washed down the drain at the end of my shower.
Overall, I like this conditioner. Combined with the Moisture Rich Shampoo, my hair is clean, soft, and swingy. Brilliant shine didn’t make my hair brilliantly shiny, at least no more so than the other conditioners I like, but finding a natural product without silicone that performs is not always easy. I will repurchase this one.
