I have a huge problem finding a concealer that I can use under my eye without it sitting really funny after just an hour or two. I can’t use anything that is even the slightest bit dry – not only does it settle into my lines right away, but it also dries into a cakey looking mess and irritates my skin. The Maybelline Fit me concealer is what I’ve been using for a while now, and it’s been working okay, but I wanted to try something specifically targeted to the under eye area. This concealer comes in a small squeeze tub, and I like that packaging a lot more than the classical wand applicator that a lot of liquid concealer has (fit me included) which are very unhygienic. Seriously, I feel a little bit of germ-panic hitting me every time I stick the wand back into the tub after it’s been on my face, but that might just be me. The tub only contains 5ml/ about 0.17oz, but my experience with Lumene’s concealer/primer type product is that a little goes a long way, and the same seems to be true for this one. I can get away with using maybe half, or even a third, of how much I use of the Fit me concealer.
Being fair skinned, my first reaction to this product was that “surely this will look orange on me”, but it didn’t! It’s more of a an apricot/brightening type of concealer than a heavy duty, full coverage one, and the correcting tone means I can use a lot less product and still get about the same amount of coverage. And due to the problems I mentioned before, the less concealer I have to put under my eye, the happier I am. I’ve found that I much prefer to blend it out with my fingers rather than the beautyblender, which I normally use for concealing in the under eye area. I think it’s a little bit hard to blend it with tools due to its consistency. But the consistency is also what makes it stay put all day long, so I don’t mind it. With the fit me concealer I’ve used the baking technique to set it, but with this one I just have to brush a little powder over it and I’m all good.
What I really, really love about this concealer is that a) it stays put all day long and b) it makes the sensitive skin under my eyes feel amazing. Right now I’ve been wearing it all day long (10+ hours), and my skin still feels moisturized, almost plumped and SO soft to the touch. No irritation, no creasing, no dryness. Just soft and calm skin and a natural, healthy look. So I would definitely recommend this to everyone with sensitive or even dry skin. Also, this has arctic cloudberry in it, which is said to make skin more radiant and stronger. Truth or not, it’s very rich in vitamins and antioxidants at the very least. Just wanted to stick that somewhere into the review!
If you have a lot of darkness you want to hide, this might not provide the amount of coverage you need, but if you want to brighten up the eye area in a natural-looking way, while still being nice to your sensitive skin, give this a try. You might be as pleasantly surprised as me.
Also: this is both cruelty free and vegan!

Meh…after using this for a while, I remain unmoved.
The tube is TINY, but in all fairness a little product goes a very (VERY) long way.
The consistency is very thick, the product is hard to work with and sits more on top of the skin than soaking in. The colour comes out very different once I try to blend it in, and I find that it enhances my pores and fine lines…which actually are quite small, so that’s quite the achievement. It looks cakey on me. It reminds me of a thick sun screen once it is on my skin….which is not exactly attarctive in the under eye area :-/
I do not feel that this concealer cover my dark circles in a satisfying way. Yes, it is better than not using any product, but just not good enough.

I have dark circles under my eyes and decided to buy this concealer after recommendation from a sales consultant. I love this, you only need a tiny amount to cover up those dark circles under eyes and it lasts through out the day. This works perfectly with my fair skin.
