   I was very excited about getting my hands on this colour. Looking at the name of it, it was supposed to have a legit matte finish, however, I do find that the description is slightly off.

   First of all, this product has a very creamy and almost runny texture. The finish is definitely on a glossier side and I do find that you might even need a lip pencil with it, especially if you tend to experience a lot of lipstick bleeding anyways.

   The colour is amazing though, it is your blue mixed with warm toned red; it does look a bit different of different skin tones (depending on your undertone). On me it is a vibrant warm red, mainly due to the fact that I have a yellow undertone to my skin.

   Good product, will be definitely using a lot of it. I only wish it would set matte!

   Pomegranate is a very pigmented, smooth matte lip pencil in a shade of red that manages to pull both neutral and slightly blue undertones. I find it moisturizing and long wearing, although I would recommend wearing a lip pencil because it can smudge/transfer a bit. Pomegranate is one of my favorite reds and brightens up my face. I’m going to be using it more often!

   Hate to mess up the perfect reviews but I didn’t find Pomegranate very special or flattering on me. It appears to be a neutral bright red in stick form but on my lips it pulls cool. This is most noticeable when the color starts to bleed, and then you see the fuchsia tones. This is a very bright red which I didn’t find very complementary on my neutral/warm skintone. For reds, I like Revlon Really Red or Nars Red Square or Cruella.

   This is my new favorite red! I initially got this product in the Christmas sampler. It’s a beautiful, bright, cherry red, more blue undertones that yellow.Its striking against my pale face, but makes my skin look bright The pencil is very pigmented, and is easy to apply (think at a stoplight) because of the creamy pencil design. It does wear away a bit but it has a staining quality, so even though it may have worn away that it is no longer transferable, there is still color on the lips. The pencil is quite creamy and becomes a bit more matte as it wears.
   The only con, is that it bleeds a bit. I have found this to be a characteristics of all Bite lip pencils. I wish they would change up the formula a bit to prevent this. I use the clear lipliner by Makeup Forever to combat the bleeding. However, I haven’t had any bleeding from Bite lipsticks.

   Best red. Perfect retro lip. Bright and Pigmented, but not outlandish. Classy. Not orangy. Not matte. Not glossy. Moisturizing. No parabens or yucky chemicals: ) Stick form, nice packaging.

   I have light/med yellow/neutral undertone. I bought one for my sister too, and she has med olive undertone and the color was perfect on her as well.

   I got a deluxe sample of this with a 500 point Sephora reward. I love love love this lip pencil. It is a VERY intense red. Smooth and creamy to application. I did line my lips prior application for staying power. I will totally purchase it when my sample is out. It’s not matte. This may replace my MAC Russian red. Great lasting power…did NOT have to retouch after eating and drinking.

   Update: so after wearing on a hot day and eating a formal dinner at a wedding…there is a little bleeding that occurs. So I deducted 1 lippie from my original review. Still a great red lippie in my opinion…just line with concealer to avoid bleeding.

   This red is intense and you get a little more product than the average NARS pencil. I love the concept behind Bite and the color range is impressive. Every color I’ve tested has been beautiful and so flattering. Pomegranate is a bold and intense red. For a more subtle red, I’d go with Cranberry or Tannin. I’ve had no issues with these bleeding or fading away in no time. I reapply to the center of my mouth ever so often, but pressing your lips together works if you don’t have the time. These seem to rejuvenate throughout the day and moisturize. They hug your lips and stay a little creamy. I wouldn’t say they’re a dry matte, though. I won’t buy another NARS pencil. No one has time to sharpen those things at that price!

   This pencil knocks my NARS matte lip pencil in “cruella” out the water. It feel great just applying it and once it sets it doesn’t feel drying on the lips. The color itself is much brighter than cruella but one can never have enough reds. This is my first lippie ever from Bite Cosmetics and certainly not my last.

   There are many pros which have led me to purchase a second one of the Bite Beauty pencil. First of all, the formula of these pencils is very nice and smooth. The pencil structure allows for precise application (I prefer pencils to lipsticks). It is extremely portable and does not require a sharpener, both of which are big pluses. This is a highly pigmented product, so beware if you are looking for a sheer wash of color. Overall, I loved the way that this made my lips look, although it will require reapplication to stay fresh-looking. However, the longevity was superior to that of a lipstick, so there is little to complain about. This is a very solid product. Four out of five stars.

    I recently stumbled across this lip pencil and I must say that it is such a gorgeous color! Very highly pigmented, it isn’t too rough or too greasy on the lips, and it also lasts for hours without having to reapply so often. It’s a simple twist for more kind of design. The only problem I have with it is that the lid is really snug on the pencil that if you pull too hard, you may damage your pencil point. It helps to just twist it off instead. Either way, I am very happy with this product.
