Can’t Let Go is a Liquid Sand (textured) polish from OPI’s Mariah Carey Collection. It is a deep grape color loaded with silver glitters in various sizes with bits of hot pink glitter mixed in. It is very pretty in low lighting but it really comes alive in brighter lights and sunlight.
The consistency was on point with no running or pooling upon application. The texture was good even with the glitters. They applied evenly and easily with no manipulation on my part. As this is a textured polish your nail beds will be rough due to the glitters but if you don’t like that it is easily remedied with a coat or two of top coat. (OPI suggests no top coat with these polishes but that is all a matter of personal preference.)
Can’t Let It Go comes packaged in the standard OPI polish bottle with their Pro Wide brush. IMO the Pro Wide brush makes application much easier.
I got good wear from this polish, about 5 days with no chipping. Removal took a little extra effort due to the glitter component but it wasn’t overly difficult. There was no staining upon removal.
OPI polishes run $10.50 right now but I got Can’t Let Go from a Skyline Beauty Supply (N/A) closeout sale for $3! What a bargain. I would definitely repurchase this polish as I like it quite a bit.
What this polish is most like is as a runny polish but it’s silky smooth on the nail after some application.
Here is another and better piece of high quality polish on sale.

I love the liquid sand texture so much! This is a pure purple with hexagon and finer bits of glitter. It is just so pretty and looks great against my golden skintone!

This is one of OPI’s Liquid Sands (this one is from the Mariah Carey collection). The whole point of these polishes is that they dry to a textured surface, so if you don’t like that sort of thing, avoid this polish.
This polish is a medium-dark cool blue-indigo-purple full of medium-sized hexagonal lavender glitter pieces, plus a good amount of very fine glitter in blue, purple, and lavender. This goes on somewhat sheer (you can wear one coat over a base colour if you want), but it’s opaque with two coats. Drying time is a bit on the slow side. The purple base dries to a satiny-to-matte finish and sort of shrinks or settles around the glitter and other particles that create the texture.
And the texture is very nice on this one. I’ve tried a number of liquid sand type polishes, and this is my favourite so far. The glitter is well-balanced and applies evenly, the colour is good, and the texture is very appealing, both to the touch (it’s nicely roughened, but doesn’t catch on stuff) and to the eye (the glitter is really, really pretty). If you prefer a smoother polish, you can put on a top coat, but you’ll need more than one to really even it up. I recommend one coat of plain old clear polish followed by a quick dry top coat, but a really good, thick top coat would work, too, if you prefer that. Personally, I like the textured surface, but I did try with top coat, and it definitely brings out the glitter in a beautiful way, so, well, whatever you like, really.
This wears surprisingly well for me, even without any top coat, and any small chips can be easily touched up without any sign that you did it, due to the textured surface. Removal is a bit of a pain, but not as horrible as some glitter polishes. On the scale of “removal hassle” I’d say it’s about in the middle (similar to many glitter polishes).
So, yes, I definitely really like this one. It’s really different from any other purple polish in my collection, and it’s really pretty (flattering to my cool, pale complexion, too). I see this mostly as a polish to use for an accent or feature nail rather than all ten fingers, but that’s just my personal taste (I always like to have something unusual and striking for accent nails, and this polish is definitely that). As the liquid sands go, this is one of the best I’ve tried.
