I bought this in 2015.
This failed to do what it is supposed to do. First off, the tip broke off easily. Secondly, it didn’t blend well, so it’s impossible to get a subtle brightening effect. Thirdly, it burned, but considering that I’m a novice at eyeliner, it’s probably my fault.
Nevertheless, this is one product that is highly disappointing. I certainly won’t try it again.

I recently bought Tarte Inner Rim Brightener at a Sephora store after thoroughly reading reviews online like I do with all expensive products I buy. I have been wearing it the last few days and I am surprised at how well it stays in place and how natural it looks. My eyes look bigger and brighter and even though I have super oily and sensitive skin it still manages to stay in place without irritation on my waterline and inner corners of my eyes.
I removed one lippy because the point gets dull quickly and I almost wish the formula for this was a little thicker…as much as I love the smooth application it’s almost overly smooth to the point to where it kind of melts when you apply it. Definitely use a light hand when applying to avoid this. Otherwise I really love this stuff and will certainly buy it again.

***Copied this from my review on Sephora.com***
Let me preface this review with – I suffer with severe dry, sensitive and yet watery eyes (good times). Eye doc told me I can’t wear contacts b/c of how dry my eyes are.
I didn’t have any expectations for this product assuming it too would disappear as soon I applied it the waterline. I was so wrong. This glides on almost like liquid when I apply it to the waterline and after blinking several times, it’s STILL on. Fast forward to the end of my day – STILL on with zero irritation. The color is beige/peachy, more natural to the actual waterline color (nobody has a stark white waterline) so it looks very natural yet brightens to the point that a fellow female co-worker asked what I did different (we talk about mascara all the time). Her exact words: “your eyes look brighter but I can’t tell exactly why” which means it’s not so obvious.
I highly recommend this b/c if it works on my watery, sensitive eyes, it will likely work for you.
Note: I am the skin tone of actress Zoe Saldana, just for reference.

I never use it. Just that. I don’t know what else to say. i’ve seen photos of Princess Diana with her inner eyes rimmed in white.I asked the Ulta girl about it she insisted I would love this.
I gave her the benefit of the doubt. It just didn’t rock my world that’s all.

I had one sold to me by Ulta sales assoc in Bluffton SC. I was pretty unimpressed and returned it I never return anything unless it’s unused.
Later I looked it up on Sephora sigh it was something I could put in my Penny’s account so I did it again I have to remind myself to use it. It’s not the fireworks however I think it looks more natural than white. I noticed in Wal Mart last night Rimmel has a eye crayon same color like $3.97 v. $20. Just saying.

Good alternative to white liner, the nude colour is a lot more subtle and natural. It was around twenty bucks at sephora. Obviously I’d prefer it to be cheaper but that’s around what I expected. I have kinda deep set eyes and I feel like it really helps brighten things up. I use it in my inner corners and on parts of my waterline and it hasn’t irritated my eyes at all. It’s become an every day kind of item 🙂

I had been eying this product for months and finally tested it in Sephora (sounds gross – the girl who was helping me cut the top and sterilised the product first). Once it was on, it worked, but I was not impressed enough to pay $20 for it so I left it behind and went out for a girls night.
Let me tell you, I am the oldest of the group of girls I was with by at least 5 years and was the only one who got carded. The rest of the night I was swarmed with guys and could not figure out what was going on with me – I was wearing a plain t-shirt and jeans to the other girls’ much cuter outfits. As I washed my hands in the bathroom, I looked up and was a little taken aback by how fresh and pretty my eyes looked. I work crazy hours and have a packed schedule so I am almost always sleep deprived and this was the first time in a long time you could not tell. I looked closer and the product was still on my inner rims – 6 HOURS later…. amazing because I stopped wearing waterproof black eyeliner on my inner rims years ago because within 20 minutes of application I had terrible racoon eyes no matter what I tried (where the waterproof eyeliner kicked in …meaning PANDA EYES ALL DAY)..
Whether this works well for you may depend on your coloring. I’m olivey/tanned and this nude popped on me while looking natural, but I can see how it might not do much for someone with already very light inner eye rims for example. For me? I’ll be going back for this.

I have the Inner Rim Brightener. It’s a nice nude color that disguises the redness in my waterline, especially early in the morning. It goes on smooth and the color is perfect, I just wish the staying power was better. It does last longer than any other similar brightening liners I’ve tried. All in all I’m pretty happy with it and use it daily.

I use the Tarte EmphasEYES Inner Rim Brightener. It’s a nude liner that I use on my waterline. I have small Asian eyes that look even smaller behind my coke-bottle glasses so I’d been looking for a long lasting white liner for the waterline. I was tired of reading reviews so I just went to a retailer and asked what the clerks would recommend. They took me to this product to test it out. What I loved instantly is how creamy this is, allowing it to glide on almost effortlessly and the nude color is more natural-looking than using white liner. I decided to buy it and went about my day. To my surprise, when I returned home hours later, my eyes still looked fresh and big. I was only going to use this when I wear my glasses but I love it so much that I wear it when I wear my contacts too. At first, I was worried that applying it to my waterline while wearing my contacts would be a bad idea. It stays in place and doesn’t bleed or flake into my eye so I’m really pleased. Will definitely buy this product again.

This review is on the inner rim brightener. I found it to be hard to work with, crumbly, and unnatural looking. It didn’t brighten my eyes, just made it look like i drew pink marker on my waterline. I added a picture to show. Also, When I wound it up to see how much was in there, it broke while I was winding it back down, and I never even touched it!
