I received this as a sample full sized with a Too Faced order. Ordinarily, I do not wear bright lipstick. But this is a wearable fuchsia. It’s in a sponge-tipped slant tip tube, and it’s billed as long wear liquid lipstick. You can apply it thinly, which I did, and ended up with a bright hot pink stain that is surprisingly wearable, especially if you have some color to your own lips. The scent is a pleasant fruity raspberry that I actually like (I normally hate scented products.) It really stays on. I like this formula a lot, and if I could find a nude pink with no sparkly glitter, I’d buy it. Love this line anyway. Another great product.

This is one of those products that only Sephora Rouge members are “qualified” to buy, and since I’m not a Rouge member, I had to blatantly use a friend to get it.
It was well worth a little trouble, though – Rainbow is stunning! Rainbow is a clear, vibrant fuchsia, with a splash of purple. It’s described on the Sephora site as “magenta,” and that description definitely fits.
Unless you really like to wear seriously bright, blue-based lip colors, Rainbow is probably not for you.
If that’s your kind of color, though, I strongly recommend that you fasten your seat belt and give Rainbow a try!
Like the other shades in the Melteds range, Rainbow is a liquid lipstick that comes in a squeeze tube, with a slant-tip foam applicator that makes application surprisingly easy.
I get a respectable two to three hours of wear from Rainbow if I don’t eat or drink. As seems to be common to liquid lipsticks with a more matte finish (I’d describe this one as “satin”), Rainbow can start to feel dry after a while, but it’s not as uncomfortable as others I’ve tried.
At $21, Rainbow isn’t cheap, but for a generous amount of a gorgeous product, from a cruelty-free company, I really don’t mind the price.
I look forward to sporting this fun, face-brightening shade all spring and summer!
