I really can’t say enough good things about this product. It is by far the best nude liner on the market in my opinion. It also acts as a primer so I love to use this under my other lips products for some extra staying power. Since it is limited edition I bought like 10 of these! Hope they make this part of there permanent collection.

Beautiful! I have UD Ozone, Naked, Naked2, & Stark Naked 24/7 lipliners besides this 1. I hate that it’s LE I hate to even sharpen it coz it’s shavings down the garbage. The packaging is lux just gorg in line w the rest of the Gwen packaging. This is a brown nude. Ozone is clear, Naked is pinky nude, Naked2 is pale beige & Stark Naked is beigy tan bronze darkest of all of these shades & Ex GF falls in the middle of being MLBB & nude like MAC Whirl & MAC Spice. Spice is a bit redder so it’s almost exactly like Whirl. I like it w the Gwen Stefani Ex GF lipstick best. I don’t really wear it otherwise. Which I do wear my UD when I’m not wearing my MAC these 2 brands 98% so that’s quite a bit besides it being new so the novelty hasn’t worn off yet (& it won’t lol) but UD being a solid line of products I don’t expect it will be a cast off any time soon if ever. This, ex GF lipstick, Bathwater brow box, the eye & the blush palettes round out my Gwen Stefani UD collection. Its price is a bit steep but it is worth it! I got this pencil on Macy’s dot com. I <3 MLBB!!

Being a medium skinned girl with warm undertones, I was told that this would be too light and unflattering on me. Personally, I like my everyday lip colours to be muted and neutral. So i like to have colour, but not really have colour at the same time. This is the most gorgeous dusty nude rose/mauvey colour I have ever tried. I really do wish that this colour would be made permanent because it is so gorgeous. It evidently has brown undertones to it, but it’s not too dark at all. I’ve seen swatches where this looks more peachy nude, but it certainly does not look like that on my lips. For general nudes, I usually use MAC Whirl, Soar and Spice but I find the first two to be slightly dark and Spice is more orangey nude. Ex Girlfriend is quite possibly the perfect nude and is not too dark or too light.
Texture wise, this is the first lipliner I have bought from the UD line, so I cannot make any comparisons between the formula of the permanent liners and this one. I can say that the texture of these is kind of waxy but creamy at the same time. That being said they do not slide or slip around and seem to adhere very well to the lips. Application is very smooth and the pencil does not drag on the lips. These last a fairly decent time. When used alone, this lasted me a good 4-5 hours and I only reapplied after lunch – and only to the centre and corner areas of my mouth. In conjunction with a lipgloss or lipstick, these seem to prolong the wear time a great deal.
I feel this liner can be used alone and with so many combinations and really brings out the best colour. I’ve been pairing this liner with Maybelline’s Tantalising Taupe (which is cool toned, looks almost white and makes me look like a corpse on its own), NYX’s Butter Gloss in Angel Food Cake (just slightly patted on top), MAC Modesty (again patted in the centre and blended out to create a nice subtle ombre lip), MAC Velvet Teddy and MAC Oxblood (this was limited edition but the colour is absolutely identical to Kind Of Sexy, also by MAC).
The packaging is just divine. Sometimes I feel when higher end makeup brands release a limited edition collection the packaging is sometimes quite tacky and cheap looking. Not with this one. The packaging is the statement here – it looks so sleek, stylish and so rock chick which goes with Gwen’s personality and the UD brand as a whole.
Overall, i would give this product a 9/10 (the price sucks for a broke student like myself). If u are warm skinned like myself and looking for a neutral lip colour which is not exclusively pink brown or peach and is not too dark then this is the ideal colour. Colour, texture, packaging – everything is on point!

This is my favorite shade of 24/7 lip pencil. It’s a hint more brown than the companion lipstick called Ex-Girlfriend. The Ex-Girlfriend lipstick is a soft “my-lips-but-better” shade which is quite sheer, almost like a tinted balm. You get opaque color from this pencil, which is a beautiful nude-rose, a dusky shade that is pretty enough to wear all over the lip with a dab of gloss on top, or as a liner to a nude or rosy lipstick.
My Holy Grail lip liner is still Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury, which is lighter and peachier than this, and is my perfect liner shade. But Ex-Girlfriend is a strong runner-up; I think it’s a wonderful lip-enhancing shade. It is deeper and a little cooler than Pillow Talk. Ex-Girlfriend is a softer, more nude version of MAC Whirl.
I love Urban Decay’s 24/7 waterproof formula for the lips. The liners outlast most lipstick formulas. They don’t feather or travel. I hope they keep this color in the line. I hate falling in love with Limited Edition shades; it means I’m doomed to heartbreak. The Stark Naked pencil was a flat beige on me, Naked is light pink, and although Naked2 is pretty and quite versatile, similar to MAC Spice, I absolutely adore Ex-Girlfriend. It’s like the pencil version of MAC Velvet Teddy.
The Gwen Stefani packaging is different from Urban Decay’s standard, so the pencil is decorated in metallic gold and black stripes. The box is gold and white. The end of each pencil is painted the same hue as the lip color so you can discern between them if you buy more than one shade. This is $20, but the color is so beautiful I might buy a spare.
