I only use this when i intend for my hair to be wavy or curly, never for straightened hair ( i honestly could not figure out how to use it on my hair when i intended to straighten it). It works great in the summer and in humidity…really controls the frizz and wave in my hair, while adding volume . i use it before i diffuse my hair or to re-fresh my hair the day after i wash it.

I have naturally curly hair (3b spiral curls) and when my hair needs extra volume I just spray my hair lightly and fluff up my curls and I’m good to go! Never hard or crunchy,just light but good hold that’s touchable.
I also use it after I dry and straighten out my hair too. Again a light spray or 2 its all I need and my hair has volume and light hold.

I love Wen cleansing conditioners. They are the hair products I use the most. So I expected to love this. This is just horrible and does not fit this brand’s reputation at all. This sprayed on easy enough almost like a hairspray. Upon it starting to dry my hair got tacky and hard. I tried this with letting my hair air dry and blow drying after application. Although blow drying helped it be less hard, it was still hard and did not even give me volume to boot. In letting it air dry it was left really hard and hard to brush through. This is the first product I have not liked from Wen. This is a product to skip.

I would buy this again, honestly. I have it in almond mint, the smell is great. Use it like it says in the instructions but it works better if you have all the wen products to work with it. Then it comes out like they claim. I sometimes am too lazy to do this, like mostly anyone wouldn’t want to constantly go through the process of all these sprays and leave-ins, etc etc.
You have to work for the result, pretty much.
I give it a 3.. I love the smell

I’m with the other posters–this product isn’t spectacular like the commercials promise. I find it average at best.
If you use it lightly on wet hair it does give nice lift and volume, however you have to be very careful not to spray even one squirt too much or else you will have crispy hard hair, even if you blow dry afterwards.
It makes a decent hairspray, again if you only use a tiny amount.
I think for the price, it’s a pretty good buy because if you use it properly, using just a tiny bit, it should last a v-e-r-y long time.lol
The smell isn’t great either…It isn’t sweet and pretty like the POM, and for a lavender it’s kinda sharp and harsh with that usual menthol undertone. The only good thing is if you use it the right way (i.e. not very much) the smell dissipates quickly.
The only real downside for sure is that it tends to be drying on the hair. It isn’t so noticeable if you use it on wet hair, but on dry hair (instead of hairspray) it can get kinda drying.
I don’t know if I’d buy it again or not…If it came in a POM fragrance I’d probably get it, but this bottle’s gonna last me forever at this rate! lol

I have lightly sprayed my hair more like a spritz to use as a hair spray. It does work, but still with the drying effect. Have not noticed any volumzing to the hair whatsoever. The only way I would get it again, when I am purchasing a kit from QVC with one of the WEN cleansing conditioners (those are very good) and the spray would be the bonus. I would not purchase this product separately.

The first time I used this, my hair had some extra body, but I have not been able to tell a difference since then even when I used it the exact same way and dried my hair upside down. My hair seems as flat as always. Plus, this is WAY too expensive for something that does not even cause a noticeable difference. I do not recommend and will not be repurchasing.

As I write this, 1) this costs $27 plus S&H on QVC (but will eventually go up to $30) and 2) the product is only available in the lavender scent.
My hair is fine in texture but I have a lot of it. Also, it is very straight. So, my hair gets very weighed down. When I’ve used this product on wet hair (then do my normal blow dry), it did give some volume to my roots (which is where I sprayed it). It’s not a whole lot of volume but just the amount I was looking for – perfect for everyday use. It may make my hair stiff if I did not comb through that area well enough, and the stiffness is easily solved by combing through (even after hair is dry). Combing through on dry hair does not diminish volume.
Some people (see qvc.com’s reviews) complain about the smell. I have a horrible sense of smell, so I really can’t tell. No one has complained about the smell of my hair the days I use it. However, I can see how the lavender scent could clash with perfumes or other scented products. Also, people complain about it drying out hair. I have not had that experience, but I also have not used this for numerous days straight (I get lazy). I also don’t have dry hair – maybe that’s the issue.
Overall, I find this to be expensive and problematic odor-wise, but it is one of the easiest and most effective volumizing products I’ve found for my hair.
