SO I went a little crazy buying these recently. I go back & forth between wanting only matte e/s then wanting shimmer again. These are all shimmer. There are loose pigments like bare escentuals eye glimmers used to be. Some are quite pretty while other shades just aren’t my taste. I personally found on light skin they all show up well and close to color you see in pot. I purchased following:
sunlit cactus – gorgeous golden brown with lime duochrome
brown sugar – slightly shimmery medium warm brown (orange tone)
cafe au lait – shimmer light tan (pinkish tone)
fruit punch – hot pink
baby blues- shimmery french blue (grey silver blue)
sunset blvd- shimmery rose gold
kiwi rose – ivory with lime duochrome
I personally with ivory skin, blueish green eyes prefer sunlit cactus, cafe au lait, sunset blvd, & baby blues. Fruit punch too barbie bright pink, not flattering. Brown sugar nice but I have nicer matte forms of this shade I prefer. Sunlit cactus really didn’t come out looking too lime on me (all green duochromes do) it’s rather pretty golden color like Mac antique gold pigment. Kiwi rose pulled too green to be my taste, sunset blvd not positive yet. It’s pretty but seems like type shade I wear only when tan. Looks like Mac rose pigment. Baby blues I have to test, I more often wear warmer eye shadow colors (my taste, prefer mostly warm neutrals) but it’s subtle the grey to it helps it be more neutral looking. These last fine but stay on better with a primer. Nice reasonable priced pigments if you want a shimmery eye shadow.

I got this from Ipsy Subscription. I really like this because of the pigmentation is awesome awesome awesome. I have the shade of brown sugar and it blends perfectly when I do my smokey eye. It will last long if you put eye primer underneath.

I also received this in my ipsy bag in brown sugar.
I’m not a fan of loose pigments; I find them messy, hard to work with, too much fall out, etc. This eye dust is no exception.
It is a flattering color for blue eyes, and it seems to have a nice matte finish which bumped it up to 2 stars for me.
But because of the inconvenient packaging, I don’t think I will ever reach for this.

I got this in an ipsy bag and I really don’t like loose pigments but this is nice it’s not very powdery and I have it in the color brown sugar and it’s a nice chocolate brown color great for blue or green eyes or a nice smoky brown for brown eyes

Pros:
– a little goes a VERY long way
– lasts a very long time (a full day)
— even when I’m sweating
Cons:
– there’s fallout
— I have it in a very light shade so I can’t really tell if there’s a lot of fallout or not
– the packaging
— I put this in my makeup bag for reference
— once you open it, be careful! it can get all over your hands
I have it in a white/silver/slightly green shade (it appears almost like plain glitter). The glitter is also very very fine. It’s doesn’t look frosty or “metallic.” I use it for under-eye highlighting for my daily makeup. I usually don’t take off my makeup until 10~11 pm. When I go to take it off, the eyeshadow is still there with the same intensity. This is also extremely cheap. On top of that, a little goes a long way so this product might end up lasting for a long time. About the packaging: just keep this stored lying flat. You’ll have no problems if you do that.

These are great cheap little pigments. They cost just under 5 dollars and i find they are pigmented for a drugstore brand. i have this in cafe au lait which is a pretty shimmery brown taupe. I think the other colors are pretty but some i just cant wear. I have the old packaging which doesnt have a sifter but the new ones do. Mine can get just a little messy at times. Other than that these are pretty comparable to mac, and cheaper though you get less product. I would love to buy more of these. Just wish i lived by a rite aid.

I’m not a huge eye dust fan. I always find them very pretty, but messy. Not something I need! However, these were cheap and the colors were gorgeous and I needed makeup for cosplaying purposes. I purchased six different shades, which included Penny Arcade, Ultra Violet, Sparkle Gold, Flambe, Pixie Dust, and Troublemaker. They are highly pigmented and even moreso when applied over primer and with a wet brush. They are finely milled, very glittery, and very blendable.
They stay on, the colors were bold, and they looked fabulous with my costumes. I wore Sparkle Gold and Flambe out all day for Chinese New Years and recently wore Penny Arcade and Troublemaker to Animazement. No fading! Most of the colors are too intense for my tastes for daily wear. However, I find myself wearing Penny Arcade on a normal day out.

I wouldn’t normally have tried the eye dust but for the enthusiastic reviews here so, when picking up a new tube of the JG eye primer, I also picked up the Sunlit Cactus eye dust, figuring it was only $4-5, and if it was a huge mistake, I could offer it to my 19 y/o daughter. It wasn’t, at least used in the nearly microscopically small amount that I dust across the center of my lids some evenings – just a few grains spread lightly above the lashes in the center of each lid atop my shadow gives them a very subtle shimmer of transparent color and causes the gold flecks in my dark brown eyes to be far more noticeable. At this rate I’ll never need to re-purchase, but if my daughter should swipe my pot, I would. Some of the older reviews indicate the pots didn’t have sifters, but they do now. For those also vexed by the annoying placement of the color’s name on a label on the side that has to be removed in order to open the pot, do as I did: warm the label for a few seconds with your hair dryer, then peel it off gently and transfer it to the bottom of the pot. I was so pleased with the quality and effect of the Sunlit Cactus that I’ve since purchased a couple other colors, which I’m also using in equally microscopic quantities to similar effect.

This range offers a lot of colors and it is cheap, i think about $3 at Rite Aid. Some colors i have suck, and some are unique and awesome. I think the one i use the most out of the 4 i own is a goldish yellow color, maybe Cactus something?
I get a lot of compliments when i wear that. The other colors I own, a blue/purple one, a brown one, and a violet one are not so great. The pigmentation is not great and fades easily on most of these. I am not a huge fan of eye primers but i have a review on the LA splash one and ifyou use that with it or any other primers it will intensify the color, make it last longer, make it not seem so cheap.
