It smells really good just like the body wash. It is a nice, light fragrance and soaks in fast leaving my skin feeling really soft and smells really fresh. Great for summer time!

This is nice scented (sort of like canteloupe), but its not moisturizing enough. I got the $1 version, and Im glad I got to try the formula, perhaps a body cream would be better for me.

I love melon smells, this one is good. It smells somewhere in between sweet melon and “after the rain”. The latter makes the scent a bit thick and I wish it were a little more sweet, but it’s suitable. The lotion feels soft, not sticky. It’s better than the B&BW version from what I remember it smelling like.

This is actually nice. It is a fresh and clean scent that is natural. It is also much better the Bath and Body Works version that has people smelling like rotting melons.

Cucumber Melon scented anything was my… stuff… when I was younger. My aunt had a lot of different Bath and Body Works lotions and this was decidedly my favorite. As I grew older, I never got into Bath and Body Works very much. I get their products as gifts sometimes and do use and enjoy them, but my preference is other brands when making purchases on my own.
This lotion contains shea butter, vitamins e and b5. It claims to give 16 hours of continuous moisture. I suppose that’s correct. I don’t find this to be as hydrating as what I typically go for (body butters from Soap and Glory, the Body Shop, etc.) But it’s alright as far as moisturizing properties are concerned.
Here is the scent description from the Bath and Body Works website:
“Top Notes: Crisp Cucumber, Watery Honeydew
Mid Notes: Summer Cantaloupe, Sparkling Grapefruit, Muguet
Dry Notes: Sheer Woods, Soft Musk”
Pretty much all I pick up on are the top notes. Both in the bottle and on my skin. That’s alright with me though. This smell is a classic. Light, refreshing, cool, and crisp.
The packaging is good. You get 8fl oz for $12.50 and you can probably get it for a lower price since B&BW often has pretty good deals and sales.
Reading through other reviews here, I found that Bath and Body Works discontinued this fragrance line at some point in the past few years. It’s back online only (not sure if for a limited time or for good.) So if you find yourself fond of the smell like I am and are a fan of the formulation of B&BW lotion, you can pick this up again now. They also have the cucumber melon scent available in hand soap, body spray, etc.
I wouldn’t repurchase for myself as I’m not a fan of thin lotion, but I will use this bottle up.

Occasionally B&BW will bring back old scents (I just snapped up Cucumber Melon, Warm Vanilla Sugar & Plumeria lotions I got 15 diff 1’s @$3 ea. which is a phenomenal deal!), but I’m such a B&BW addict … –sale– of course I got excited when I saw those long DC’d scents back in lotions! I didn’t buy any body sprays because they are full priced today but this scent is the first 1 I ever bought from B&BW & reminds me of my first job I had at a medical clinic, every nurse & high school student back then I knew was crazy about it! I’m neither of those, but I’m still crazy about it after all this time. I buy it whenever it’s available, it doesn’t smell as good from any other brand! It’s been done by Body Fantasy & a few others. (It smells so sweet, fresh, & energizing!). This is the s— to have for summer but it’s fresh in the winter when ur smelling all these heavy scents around.

I miss this so much…the smell of it takes me right back to middle school. You can still order it online but for how long, idk because Bath and Body Works are famous for discontinuing everything.

This was the first BBW scent I ever bought back in my later high school/early college years I can’t remember which in Tue late 90s/early 2000 and EVERYONE was wearing it. I think this might be the original gangsta cucumber melon scent.
I love it. I STILL love it. It’s fresh, clean and reminds me of a simpler, more carefree time. So sad they discontinued it, but picked it up online for Tue SAS. This and Warm Vanilla Sugar, probably my all time favorite scents.
Now I prefer the body creams to the lotion. The body creams are more moisturizing and the fragrance lasts longer IMO. And I don’t like how the caps of the lotions can get all gunked up.

I’m gonna kill whoever discontinued this. For several years, it was kind of unique, I’ve seen so many cucumber melon scents come up for the past couple of years, but for a while it was really unique. Good lotion formula as always.

I got this as a gift. I used to love the smell in high school, but I am not a fan now.
There are some BBW lotions with amazing scents; but even so, I am not impressed with the moisturizing capability of their body lotions.

This is the first ever BBW lotion I ever used and while I just love the lotion, I didn’t like this particular fragrance much. Smelt like I had cut a melon and not washed my hands later. I have bought BBW lotions after this and will continue to but certainly not in this scent.

Great smell! It reminds me of honeydew candy, something I used to eat often when I was younger. Will get it again for the smell if I cld get it cheap!

As always this has the amazing avon consistancy. Creamy, not greasy and leaves my skin sooooo soft! This scent is like the one from B&BW but is much fresher. Very fruity and refreshing. However, of all the avon lotions I’ve tried this has the least staying power. Vanilla and sweet pea last for days, this one maybe hours. It is still a great summer lotion that I would probably repurchase…

I absolutely love this scent. I recently got this at the B&BW Semi-Annual Sale and it was really cheap. I’m so glad I found this because this is one of my favorites so far. To me, I smell at first a tart and sweet sort of melon, borderline on smelling like a green jolly rancher. Then I get the coolness of the cucumber, and I can detect a pinch of musk. The melon definitely overpowers the cucumber, but not to much as it still remains a very fresh and clean scent overall. This is my favorite fresh scent and I do recommend others trying this as well.
