I’m going to return this. I tried and tried to make it work, but for some reason I can’t figure out, It was just off. I tried different brushes and different ways of applying, but no. just no. Get some brow stuff from Colourpop, save your money.

One of my first urban decay products, after someone said I looked like gwen I took the plunge and bought 3 products from her range as figured they would suit me. The colours in this are the best I have found for my blonde hair and fair skin. Usually I find brow colours either too dark, too red, or too light for my skin tone. This is just right and looks quite natural considering I’ve barely got any eyebrows through over plucking as was the fashion in the 90s. Personally don’t really need the wax but the packaging and tweezers and brushes are really cute.

This is USD$30 which I got from Macys.com…I have never heard the “Bathwater” song but I’m familiar enough w Gwen to know this is a No Doubt (her band) song. Cute play on words since Bathwater/dishwater for blonde althou that’s where I “thought” the problem would be that this kit would be “too blonde,” as I’m a (light) brunette. Both of these colors will suit both blondes AND a lot of light-to-medium brunettes. The colors are WAY darker than I expected for it being labeled as a blonde product & Gwen being so platinum blonde so I had nothing at all to worry about (ordered blind w/o seeing in person). The colors are both very taupe ashy. They thought of evthing w this box from the 2 colors w wax; double mirrors (1 magnifying mirror!), 2 brushes, tweezers & the cutest ever packaging! I have the GS Eye & Blush palettes & ex girlfriend lipstick/lipliner. I’m a casual gwen fan but I like her fab style & UD does better celeb collabs than MAC! The GS products are all LE. UD rocks literally!!

The two colors are nice because they are very natural looking. I’m blonde so the lighter one looks perfect. It really defined my brow there for my eyes look ravishing. I have almond eyes (known as hooded) so it’s essential to have quality makeup that lasts with the help of the was.

“Bathwater” is the name of a song by the band No Doubt, of which Gwen Stefani is the lead singer. The song came out in 2000 and is from the album “Return of Saturn.” No Doubt Gwen thought it would be a cute play on words to name her brow color “Bathwater Blonde” instead of dishwater blonde. Gwen’s packaging is gold and black and white but still in keeping with the style of the brand. Urban Decay’s other brow boxes are purple.
I had a Honey Pot brow box at one time and it was perfect when I was more of a strawberry blonde. However, when I decided to go fully blonde, I needed an option that was less warm. I was very pleased when Bathwater Blonde was added as I’m sure many cool or ash blondes were, and for that reason, I hope this stays in the line. However, Honey Pot is a beautiful option for light brown, caramel, and reddish tones as well as warmer blondes.
I love having an Urban Decay brow box when I travel because it has little tools in it – tweezers and tiny brushes and two mirrors, so all you need is included in one handy compact. You get to customize your brow color by dabbling in two complementary shades of powder and the wax keeps brows tidy.
Sometimes I prefer to use a pencil because it’s faster, but most brow pencils will rub off during the day and need to be retouched. When I’m on vacation, that’s one more thing I don’t want to worry about. I find that as long as I seal my brows with the wax, they hold up through a day of sightseeing. The only thing that holds them in place longer is Anastasia’s waterproof brow pomade, which is what I would wear to a water park in July.
I really appreciate the organization and thought that went into the design of the brow boxes, and I believe this is a much-needed color. I think women with grey hair may like the darker powder of the two. The Gwen Stefani Collection was limited edition, but I’m glad Urban Decay didn’t throw this baby out with the bathwater.
Update 5/14/2017: A few months after this color was released, Urban Decay added another brow box in the color Blondie. It is lighter than Bathwater Blonde, but still ash, and I couldn’t resist buying that one, too. If you tried Bathwater Blonde and found it to be too dark for your brows, look for Blondie.

I had to get this as I’ve always had dishwater blonde brows as I never heard of Bathwahter Blonde so maybe it’s a west coast term? Edit found out it’s a song. Thank you MUA gem.:) Either way this Brow Box is stellar the 2 blonde shades in this match my brows perfectly! I use the lighter shade or light blonde in the beginning of my eyebrows then I work the dark blonde through the arch to the tale. Add some of the wax and I have perfect brows. Which is something that’s always been hard for me. But with this little box I hope they make this shade permanent because I think this would suit a lot of us blondie girls.
The packaging is so dang cute! I mean it’s just adorable and so easy to use. The brushes and tweezer that come with this are seriously useable. It’s not like where you like the product but dislike the brushes. This to me is all I need for my eyebrows it’s seriously fabulous! The price is up there but for what you’re getting I think it’s ok. So glad UD and Gwen came together it’s seriously some good products and I own them all except the lippies. Which I would like as well. Totally Recommended!
