I LOVE my Nume flat iron. I bought it almost 4 years ago at a mall kiosk, and it still works as good as new! When I purchased mine, it came in a wide range of colour and patterns. It heats up very quickly, within a minute I would say (and this is a four year old flat iron!). The temperate goes up to 400, which is exactly what I need for my coarse, thick, wavy/curly hair. Leaves my hair straight and smooth without excessive heat damage. Love this flat iron!
I did buy it for the original price of $129CAD…and I am slightly freaking out that the other reviewer managed to snag it for $22?! That’s incredible. Look out for sales, I guess! I do, however, feel that it was money well spent for me – no regrets.

This is an awesome hair straightener!
I would have never purchased this at full price ($169) but I picked it up during one of NuMe’s online flash sales for only $22.
It heats up extremely quickly.
It straightens very well and glides through my hair as smooth as butter.
I love that the plates are black. Flat irons with light-colored plates often get dirty and stained with residue from hair products. This always happens to my HerStyler (light yellow plates) and I have to scrape off the residue with my fingernails.
The straightener has a rubberized texture, making it easy to grip.
It also works well to create curls and waves.
The only con I think of is that it only heats up to 410 degrees, not 460 like my HerStyler. But since I never used my HerStyler at its max temperature anyway, this isn’t a big deal.
