This is a medium purple polish with a bit of shimmer. The color itself is very pretty, especially if you love purple but the shimmer is minimal. I decided to wear this color now as tribute to “The Purple One” and his passing from this world.
Fiji has a jelly like formula which was easy to apply. However, the first coat was thin and streaky and offered very sheer coverage. The second coat really added a depth of color though there were still some slight patchy spots. As I was using a glittery top coat I opted not to add another coat of Fiji.
The consistency of the polish was a bit thin but the overall texture was fine. The pigmentation was moderate to good with a 2nd coat. On some of my nails I did note some slight brush stroke marks from application due to the formula. Those did smooth out with a top coat.
I can’t speak to drying time as I used SH Insta-Dri top coat and Fiji dried like any other polish I have used it with.
SC is a high quality polish for a very inexpensive price. I paid $1.99 for this bottle and though I would not buy this particular color again I have and will purchase other SC polishes. I did mark it down a couple of lippies because of the consistency.

I’m usually not a fan of jelly nail polishes as I don’t have the patience to apply multiple coats and wait for them to dry. But I love the futuristic shiny effect of this medium purple shade. The first coat was super sheer and unacceptable. The second coat was a little better but there was still something missing. It took 3 coats to build up to the bottle color. I uploaded a pic of it with 3 coats- no base or top coat. But the pic does not do the color justice as it makes it look very blueish. Granted this shade is cooler-toned, but the purple is very pretty. Reminds me of a purple vibrator I have actually 😉 I plan on experimenting with this polish for different layered looks and definitely want to see how black zebra stripes will look. I am satisfied with this polish and the Sinful brand overall (great bang for your buck, and with a topcoat, they last a good while). I just hauled several of their polishes, including Fiji, and selected this shiny purple polish for a spooky October sparkle.

I bought this color because of its jelly-like effect with minimal shimmer. Although it takes at least three coats for opacity, that’s the type of finish this polish is meant for and I like it. When I want a more opaque look, I apply a base coat, one coat of Essie’s Merino Cool (a cool creme dusty taupe with lavender undertones) or you can just use a good old creme black polish underneath and then one thick coat of Fiji. This makes for a more opaque shade and the Merino Cool serves as a primer to lessen the amount of coats. Top it off with Seche Vite and you’re good to go! I really appreciate both drugstore and high end polishes. Mixing them together have its advantages. I’ll definitely purchase again.

This is definitely one of the more sheer colors, but it is very pretty if you have the time and patience. I am doing a test right now on how many coats I need. 3 is good enough for me but 4 (and I did a pretty heavy handed 4th coat) looks like it does in the bottle.
It’s pretty much hit or miss with these colors but others (ex: Folly) have awesome coverage, 2 coats is perfect and you could even skate by with one if you were in a hurry.
This is not a shimmery color but if you like glitter the color Frenzy goes over this beautifully.

3 coats? I wish… more like SIX. I absolutely HATE this polish. And every time I try to use it I hate it even more. Sinful is one of my favorite brands but this is one of the shittiest polishes I’ve ever used. Ridiculously sheer with a goopy, drippy, gummy consistency that NEVER dries. The only reason it gets a 2 is because it’s a pretty color. Pretty, but not *unique*. I can think of several dupes to this color, all of them more expensive but i will purchase them before I repurchase this crap. Horrid, Sinful, truly horrid.

just applied this the other day.
I love the color. Took about 3 coats to get the color from the bottle, but I see that more and more with even the more expensive polishes. I painted my toes so this will last for weeks… until I take it off.I use orly’s bonder base coat and I used rock topcoat this time.

Unlike many other Sinful Colors, this shade does take 3 applications to get an opaque coat. The first coat applies as a very sheer lavender. Second coat is a medium purple, but still not opaque enough for me. The third coat makes is a deep (but not dark) violet with a hint of blue–the way the color looks in the bottle.

I refuse to spend a lot of money on nail polish, and when i saw this for $2 i said why not! I am really happy with it, i am only able to compare to a Wet n Wild type polish. It dried pretty quick for me and i use two coats and i got the bottle colour. I’m a happy camper 🙂

I really wanted to love this nail polish, the color is so gorgeous! It jsut doesnt apply well, you have to layer and layer to get a decent coat, on my toes though it was nicer. So I just might use this for my toes only.

This looks great over china glaze coconut kiss. Takes long to dry, very annoying. On its own it takes too many coats to get decent looking results. Won’t buy again. Good forlayering over other polishes but that’s about it
