I absolutely love this perfume! I found it on Zulily about a year ago, on a discount, and got it for like 30 dollars, so it can be really affordable if you know where to look. It smells so good! It starts off smelling very lime green, then fades to a light blue, and finally to white. It has really good staying power, I’ve put it on at six in the evening, worn it to a party, went to bed, slept till twelve, and woken up still smelling it multiple times. Even when it’s faded to its last, and all you can smell is vanilla, it’s very present and you’ll still smell nice. I’ve gotten compliments on it from strangers before, too. One thing that’s weird for me, and this is the only problem I have with it, is that when I put it behind my ears it itches a little and feels oily. I don’t have this problem with it on my wrists or neck, only behind my ears, so I don’t really know what that’s about. Anyway, this is the best perfume I’ve ever owned and I highly recommend it!

I had to try this one. Lately O.D.R. has caught my nose with scents that are pleasing. Odd since I never use to like this brand but within the last few years, some great fragrances have been added. Something Blue starts a bit crisp with the green aroma but the longer it is on the more it quiets into a very ladylike, almost powder attraction. I am not good at picking out notes unless they are obvious so I will just say that whatever the composition is that makes up this perfume is mixed well and the scent last on me for hours and hours. If you are wanting a fragrance that is made for a lady this one is worth a try.

Something Blue is Oscar de la Renta’s newest release and it’s the third one of his perfumes that I am now reviewing. Like his other fragrances, Something Blue is a beauty as well. Something Blue is a grassy woodland floral. His first scent I reviewed was Oscar and that was a scent of a bouquet of flowers. Live and Love featured Hyacinth and upon first spray Something Blue to me it smells like beautiful green grass swaying in the wind. The flower in this fragrance that is front and center is lily of the valley. Something Blue manages to capture all aspects of the plant by featuring its leaves, stems and roots too. There are a lot of notes in Something Blue and they each pop out during parts of the day. I was waiting in line at the post office yesterday and I started sensing a timber or lumber scent. That was the “cashmere wood” note. As I was leaving work yesterday to go home I noticed a sweet vanilla smell. That was the “bourbon vanilla” note. I love it when I wear a fragrance and individual notes suddenly appear out of nowhere and then I check and see that that is a note that is in a fragrance. That means it is a well-crafted fragrance and Something Blue is definitely that.

I got a sample of this in my Birch Box and I absolutely adore it. It’s been awhile since I’ve found a fragrance which I love this much. Haven’t purchased yet, but the bottle looks gorgeous online.
This fragrance has a beautiful light, ethereal, aquatic tone to it. Reminds me of Santorini in a bottle. Has pretty good staying power too!
