I went out on a bit of a limb when I bought this, seeing as the brand has mainly gotten attention for their peel-off mask. What I got, however, was a lovely moisturizer that actually feel quite unique. I didn’t take much notice of the word “balancing” in the title, but I quickly realised that it seemed to mattify my face in a very effortless way. It’s by no means a mattifying moisturizer, but I was thrilled to see that it actually did balance out my combo skin. My t-zone was noticeably less oily (and stayed that way for longer), while the rest of my skin got the moisture it needed. It sinks into the skin quickly, and leaves the skin both plump and SO very smooth. It simply feels very luxurious and like the skin truly benefits from it. One of the best mosturizers I’ve tried, without a doubt. I enjoy trying out new products too much to stick with it over time, but I’m absolutely sure I will re-visit both the brand and this particular product in the future!
+ Cruelty free
+ Vegan
+ Claims to work for all skin types as it adapts to your skin’s needs – though I can’t vouch for that, I did notice that it handled my combo skin unusually well
+ No parabens, mineral oils, colour or silicone
+ Lots of natural ingredients, including white tea, argan oil, sesame seed oil, jojoba oil, rosemary, sugar beet, licorice and palm fruit
+ Smells divine – a light and suble yet oh so lovely floral scent
+ Hygienic pump, easy to control exactly how much product comes out
– White plastic bottle means you don’t know how much (or little!) product you’ve got left
– Claims to be multipurpose and also work as a mask which – how? As it all just sinks into the skin, surely I’d just be putting a ton of moisturizer on my skin. Not sure how that constitutes a mask.
– Bordering on pricy. Retails for about 200 SEK in Sweden, £20 on their website (a little goes a long way though, and it’s a quality product, so I’m okay with that price in the end)
