I really like this stuff. Since I have oily skin I really didn’t know what to do with it at first. I can’t wear it alone since I am in between an NC45-50 and it would show up ashy, and mixing it with foundation for a luminous glow is sort of pointless since I always need to set/mattify my face so it doesn’t get so oily. As such, this just stayed in my makeup bin for a while and wasn’t being used. However, I got the inkling to use it as a highlighter and I applied it to the apples of my cheeks and brow bone with a beauty sponge. I found that I really really liked it. It gives a luminous/sheer glow. I also found that even though it looks really cool toned, it’s actually a nice, warm, golden shade once blended onto my skin. I also don’t have to use much so I can tell this will last a while.
I love the packaging and the dispenser allows you to get a little as a time so you don’t waste product.

I’ve never liked wearing any type of foundation so this is perfect for giving my skin a nice glow, although my skin is dry so I can get away with it, not sure how it would work on oilier skin when applied all over the face. I mix this with a bit of bb cream and apply it all over my face. I’m a little surprised that this drugstore product is made in Italy, it is definitely a high quality product in my books. I’m on my second bottle and have two more stored up since it is no longer available in Canada now that all of the Targets here closed down.

Picked up this drugstore highlighter on a whim, even though it’s a golden tone and I usually gravitate towards champagne shades because of my pale, cool-toned skin. Mixed it into my foundation, wore it to an outdoor summer wedding in Florida (extremely sunny day) and got so many compliments! It gives my skin a lovely sun-kissed glow. I love that the shimmer is not a glitterbomb like most of the drugstore highlighters I’ve tried. This liquid is very light and when I wear it alone I forget that I’m wearing makeup.

My perfect highlighter has no visible glitter, enhances my bone structure, gives me a glowing from withing look, is subtle enough for daytime when I need a boost but buildable for evening when I want to glow, comes in a package with an easy to use pump, oh and is affordable. This is all of these things.
I have only worn this on top of my makeup on my cheekbones, cupid’s bow, jaw, and collarbones but I have heard that people mix it into their foundation. I’m not sure that this is “strong” enough to work that way.
Have I mentioned *lack of visible glitter*? Paula’s Choice says that it’s a dupe of the cult favorite Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting, which, by the way is $52+ where the Sonia Kashuk is about $10. As a note, you do get twice as much in the Kevyn Aucoin one, but that still leaves it 2.5x as expensive. As a note, I was also looking into the Revlon Photoready Skinlights, but that certainly has glitter. It’s not like crafts store glitter, but since I don’t go clubbing anymore, I don’t see a use for smearing glitter all over my face. Get thee to Target!
