This does not have the crazy-tingle that my White Russian does. WR is almost uncomfortable for me. This, the tingle is very minimal. There is still the mint/tooth-paste smell that to me lingers, and I am just not a fan of the mint smell for my gloss/lip products. Some people do not like sweet smells on lips, I do not like mint. But, that really does not have a bearing on the product, it is just a personal preference.
Described as iridescent plum-pink. This is a beautiful berry shade on me, but I could see it leaning towards a plum or a deep pink on others. I find only “need” one swipe on my lower lip, and I press my lips together, and it is “enough” pigmentation for me (NC20). I can do a swipe on the top lip for more pigmentation, which is also a lovely shade darker, but it then gets a touch ‘too much’ and a little slippery. But this shade is beautiful. Pigmentation is great and the shine is nice, not overpowering or obnoxious at all. Great for Fall or Winter, but could be worn year-round. I think many skin tones could wear this.
I did not find this to be sticky or tacky at all, and it wears nicely, not getting gummy or turning odd colors as the day goes on, like so many lip products sometimes do for me. This last a good 4, even 5 hours on me, which is great. Even then I still have a subtle, flattering stain left on my lips.
I just wish this did not have the mint smell. The smell to me lingers the entire time I have it on (unless it’s my imagination). But even with that, I really like this product color, how it performs, and how it wears. I have not had a Buxom gloss yet that I did not like. Just the mint smell..lol..But again, they are such great products that I will tolerate the mint smell. Oddly enough, I like mint in food, just not on my lips…lol Will obviously re-purchase. Would recommend.
