I got the Shupette version as a gift and was super excited to try it after hearing all the hype about the mousse base and foundation.
I will start with what I liked about it:
1) Comes in a hair mousse kind of container. You gotta shake before use. And I love the cute Shupette packaging!
2) The mousse is peach in colour. It’s a brightening corrector. And when it sets into my skin, it did nake my skin more radiant.
3) UV base? Yes please.
Here’s what I disliked about it:
1) Hard to control the amount of product coming out. I had to be very mindful about how much I press.
2) Thought it would be very easy to apply with hands but no, it’s not that easily absorbed. I had to use a beautyblender.
3) The smell is sweet but it’s too strong! I can still smell it 1 hr after I apply my foundation. It just lingers and it’s annoying.
4) It feels thick and heavy on my skin! I’m constantly reminded I wore base on my skin.
5) It pilled. I was noticed it didn’t seem to set in on one side of my skin so I pat a little AND IT PILLED.
I won’t purchase it again unless the new formula is great.

Shu uemura tsuya skin youthful radiance mousse is a product marketed as providing UV protection spf 30 and moisturizing benefits.it is meant to be applied after moisturizing to provide a smooth and even toned base upon which to apply make up product but you can just use it for its skin softening and light color coverage.
I ordered this from the shu uemura website and I thought it was going to provide increased hydration, UV protection and a light iridescent pink sheen to my skin.
When the product arrived I was disappointed because the product was orange and labelled as peach.for the last few years since relocation to Leeds I have
been experiencing my skin on my face hands and sometimes feet turning pink.this was something that never happened before as my skin had always
been the same color all over my body (apart from brown spots referred to as freckles beauty spots moles and birthmarks that started appearing a long time after my birth and look like tattoos in different shade of brown, with the exception of moles that are raised above skin surface level and look like black fungus implants in brown).
My skin tone before moving would range from being bright white to lightest yellow cream darker yellow and tan.when I saw this product advertised as being pink underbase I remembered something a hairdresser once said to me about my hair texture.when I was born I had black strong silky Asian hair and then when I started school it changed to coconut brown frizzy and dry and weak.throughout my life even having Ginger tones but never orange always within the spectrum of colours synonymous with brown skin peoples skin tones (although once it had very blonde frizzy highlight)and I had never or would never have applied any products to my hair to deteriorate the quality of what I believe would have been dream hair.at the time I wasn’t aware of how much my hair was being damaged and I thought it was natural for peoples hair quality color and texture to completely change.so when my hair was dry frizzy and curly and I was spending a lot of time and money to correct it my hairdresser advised me its best to make the best of what you been left with and work with it instead of trying to fight it and I discovered avedas be curly hair lotion to smooth out the frizz.this time was a different problem I needed something very hydrating to combat the dehydration chemicals being applied to my skin (which was also one of the issues I had with my hair that it was being dehydrated) and something that would even out the pink color that my damaged skin was having (again another issue same as the hair;natural colors being changed to something less beautiful ).so I was really looking forward to getting the pink one and instead I got peach which is unsuitable for my complexion.
I had been looking forward to applying the mousse in the day and before bed because I had a grey top my Chinese friend gave me with a pink fish on it with white lips and I thought if people were coming in to destroy my skin and hair and entire physical self they would have nice sleeping mask to look at that match my bedtime outfit.
I didn’t try the product on my face because I wasn’t sure if there might be some permanent skin dying chemical in it and peach or orange is definitely not a color that I would want my skin to be.instead I tried some on my hand which, again like the problems experienced with the hair on my head, had had multiple layers of skin removed to make my skin density very thin (my hair had also had layers stripped off making it very weak and thin).
texture of the mousse was very light and bubbly and smoothed over the skin left on my hand very smoothly and felt very moisturizing and soft to touch.
However because of the color I will be returning this item and I think I will repurchase the shu uemura brightening mousse in pink purple with UV protection.I did purchase this previously but when I woke up from sleeping I found it had been replaced with a product that looked identical from the container but the product inside was beige and not pink purple.because of the design of the mousse it is impossible to empty the mousse canister and replace with fake product which means somebody went to a lot of effort to ask people to manufacture the product container in exactly the same color and design as the original and just replace the contents coming out of its mouth nozzle with something beige instead of purple pink which wasn’t what I purchased but someone trying to force me to use so I returned it to the store because I don’t want it.
What I would really like to know is why waste product like that n waste people’s lives working to produce clone products that can’t really be used by people who hasn’t got brown skins because skins that isn’t brown can’t use these products as their manufactured for a different client base.but if I was going to work everytime someone has idea let’s make fake product we can replace this persons skincare with then I would be questioning if my only reason to exist is to serve these people who is giving these orders and if that is all I am then why would I want to exist, especially if they destroying beauty of others to make slave race manufacturing products they need or likes to have feel like oh at least we have our natural beauty.dalai lama says art of happiness shu uemura says art of beauty sun tzu says art of war Christian say art in heaven but if they destroy way people looks to make themself feel happy because they have to see themself as beauty to be happy then why would anyone destroyed want to exist for their ‘therapy’.in Asia the whitest skins are considerrd most beauty in India the darkest skins are considered so ugly noone wants to touch them hence the name untouchables.it seems like there is globalization problem.
