I got this at the same time I got Bitten. I ended up keeping Bitten and getting rid of this. Really they are the same color. Burlesque should have been darker and shimmery but it the shimmer didn’t show up at all and it wasn’t darker than Bitten.
The formula is no better than Bitten, powdery. This has more fall out. I was pretty disappointed. I got rid of this a while ago.

my niece bought this and she said it was to hard to blend, so I tried it with my MAC 217
and found it is blotchy

This is exactly what I wanted MAC Cranberry and UD Last Call to do for me. Burlesque is a gorgeous shade that contains the perfect amount of cranberry, brown, purple all in one. It doesnt’ lean too pink like MAC Cranberry and it is more neutral than UD Last Call. It is also less metallic than the two which makes it more wearable during the day. While this color is beautiful for everyone, those with green or hazel eyes will find this color to make their eyes look sexy-intense.
It is very easy to pair this shadow. Some looks I have done with Burlesque:
MUG Burlesque on the lid, MUG Drama Queen on outside and crease, and Peach Smoothie for blending to add warmth.
OR
Burlesque in crease, Purely Naked on lid, Latte to blend out. This will be more daytime appropriate.
Pigmentation is amazing, texture is great. Considering this is better than some of MAC and UD shadows (and I have always been a huge UD lover) the price is GREAT! If you are thinking about ordering some MUG shadows, just make the commitment and get a few and I promise you will be hooked! I want all the colors now! I’ve already placed 3 orders in one month.
And its always great to support one of my fave beauty girls on YouTube, thanks Marlena!

This is one of my favs by Makeup Geek. I love wearing this with black for a deep, mysterious smokey eye. This is somewhat similar to MAC’s Cranberry but so much better. The pigmentation is better as well and the feel of the eyeshadow. They wear a long time and for the price it just can’t be beat. LOVE this color!

Burlesque is described as a Deep Metallic Burgundy. It is definitely burgundy but i don’t think its all that metallic. It is very pigmented, I have found all of the makeup geek shimmer/metallic shadows to be very creamy. I didn’t experience much fall out, of course you still need to tap off the excess to prevent fallout. I think this shadow works particularly well with NYX rust on the inner third, burlesque on the middle and outer third. Makeup geek mocha in the crease with NYX Hawaiian coffee in the outer v. This color makes Hazel and green eyes pop.
