Moisturizer? Hardly.
This stuff is way over priced for what it is. The texture IS almost like Elmer’s Glue (as the previous reviewer pointed out) but runnier, and has a weird chalky appearance and a chemical (yes, glue like) scent.
Yes, it absorbs quickly, but it leaves my skin feeling as though I used a mattifier and not a moisturizer! My skin almost feels MORE dry after applying, and I have combo skin.
I don’t notice any anti-aging benefits from it other than SPF, and it has no effect on keeping my adult (mild) acne clear whatsoever and, if anything, makes my pores appear more clogged in general.
If you’re interested in this for its SPF protection, it’s hardly the best I’ve tried (La Roche Possay and Biore Aqua Riche are WAY better and more comfortable). If you’re interested in this product for its other claims on what it is or does, I’d look elsewhere.

The texture and odor are like Elmer’s glue.

I’m on the hunt of a really lightweight daily sunscreen, for my very acne prone, sensitive skin that is also all covered in hyperpigmentation after bc-pills.
Right now it’s summer. The humid weather makes the makeup melt away… Cause I can’t stand too much of silicones (causes acne on me), the only way out is to find a sunscreen that is thin and light enough not “sliding around” on the face…
Spf 15 is said to block up to 93%, spf 30 up to 97% and spf 50 around 98% of the rays. In that way it’s more important to find a “low” sunscreen you really like and enjoy applying, compared to a “high” that you almost avoid wearing daily.
So I received a bigger sample of this;
Pros:
– Fluid/gel formula – really lightweight
– disappears on the skin within seconds
– no white cast
– not waterproof = no special cleansing at night, and easier to remove
– does NOT enlarge pores ( even if it doesn’t actively hide them either, probably not too much silicones as main ingredient. Chemical sunscreens still look better then the physical)
– works perfectly with makeup, compared to other sunscreens
– formulated with “acne-skin in mind”
– reliable brand
– easy to find at the net and stores
Cons:
– Too many ingredients usually gives me problems, even if this is a reliable brand…
– is the spf enough for my hyperpigmentation?
– all chemical sunscreen, is it safe and photostable?
– slightly shiny in the start of application, but that’s easy to powder away.
I have only used it for 3-5 days, and haven’t had any breakouts. Still I use clarisonic since a few months back – usually I breakout by everything! but this is a really comfortable sunscreen for daily use: even thinner than my old fav Elta Md clear. Recommended to try!! 🙂 will update if it breaks me out even with clarisonic.
Ingredients:
-Avobenzone 3%
-Homosalate 7%
-Octisalate 4%
Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Polyester-8, Urea, Yeast Amino Acids, Trehalose, Inositol, Taurine, Betaine, Phospholipids, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Laminaria Ochroleuca Extract, Willow Bark Extract, Saccharomyces/Xylinum/Black Tea Ferment, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Dimethicone, Zinc Gluconate, Macrocystis Pyrifera Extract, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, PVP, Hydrolyzed Ceratonia Siliqua Seed Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract, Sesame Seed Extract, Cimicifuga Racemosa Root Extract, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Laminaria Saccharina Extract, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Acrylates Copolymer, Magnesium Carbonate, PEG-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Citronellol*, Geraniol*, Limonene*, Linalool*, Fragrance. *Allergen.
Edit: researched the ingredients now and this contains cetyl alcohol and different kinds of palmitates. Cetyl alcohol and ethylhexyl palmitate, both have the highest score of being comedogenic. In other words I won’t have the courage to order the full size I think….. 🙁
But it has a wonderful feeling, so if you have more towards normal skin, try it!
