I’m very fair-skinned and sunscreen is the #1 skin care product I buy multiple times a year. The pharmacies and cosmetic stores in my neighborhood knowing that, they often give me out testers, usually of pricey sunscreens. (I know what you’re trying to do, guys.) This one was also given as a tester.
As usual I checked the ingredients online when I got home. I liked that it’s fragrance and paraben free, I also liked the somewhere-between-creamy-and-milky texture. But I didn’t like its sun protection ingredients; Octocrylene, Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylpheno, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane (aka avobenzone), and Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine (aka Bemotrizinol). The first two turned out to be quite controversial ingredients and the product is a chemical sunscreen. I don’t know if anyone with sensitive skin had any success with chemical sunscreens, for me they just don’t work. Even if a product has one single chemical sunscreen ingredient like avobenzone, if I use it two days in a row I get at least one sometimes more pimples on my face. I still tried this because I get curious, it didn’t hydrate my skin though not dried it either. But yeah, it caused two pimples on the second day.
I will stick with my Derma E SPF 30 sunscreen with zinc oxide. I wish it was SPF 50 instead of 30 but still the best I have tried so far.
EDIT: I wrote the below in 2016. Two years later, now in 2018 I got another tester of this and used it on my mom’s face on a 35 degrees, sunny day. She’s very sensitive to the sun. On a day like this if she stays outside in the noon for 5 minutes, her face gets pink. But not like “no sunscreen works,” when I use my Derma E on her face we can be outside for some hours and no color change on her face. I thought I would use this Bioderma one as it’s higher in SPF. She only walked for 4 blocks in total, so she wasn’t outside THAT long. Yet she came back as if there was no sunscreen on her face. Totally red. And I put it on an hour before she went out so the sunscreen definitely had more than enough time to be effective.
tl; dr Unfortunately I also didn’t find it protective enough against the sun

I realy wanted to like this product, cause it was a bit expensive for the amount you get,but it’s just not for me.Short description of my skin: large pores, acne prone.sensitive, tends to get very oily during the day,but i didn’t had acne problems since a long time ago because i havent changed much in my skin regimen or makeup for months.I bought this because it says its for sensitive skin and the pharmacist assured me that its non greasy and sinks into your skin realy fast..yeah right…
The texture is fondant, fluid creamy ,but you have to massage into your skin realy well otherwise you will have a shiny white film on your face. After massaging it in,my face still looked very oily and it felt quite heavy on the skin.I waited and after 10 minutes the suncreen finaly sunk in and now it looked a little dewy and my face felt smooth. So i decided to apply my foundation, and i use a matte non acnegenic foundation from estee lauder which i already use it for 4 years .My skin looked luminous and flawless.I dont regularly use suncreens under foundation, but this time i had to use it for a pre laser procedure. In only 2 hours,on hot weather, but without direct sun exposure,my face looked like i poured a bottle of sunflower oil on it.When i got home and looked in the mirror i noticed that i atracted two tiny little flies on my face, which were dead btw, probably they got atracted by my face shiny disco beige face.I got so embarassed because i previously entered a corner shop and i couldnt figure why the sells girls looked at me awkward with smiles on their faces.
Ok at first i thought this suncreen doesn’t go well with makeup so i tried to use it without. The result was still the same, extremely oily skin with super large pore craters after only a few hours,It made me feel very insecure and self conscious. As if that wasnt enough, here comes the worst part:this product made me broke out after only 3 days of use into many white suculent pimples on my cheeks and jawline.I have a bad habit on picking on them,so some of them resulted in red scabs. The culprit was obviously the suncreen since i haven’t included any other new product in my skin regimen.
I gave up on it , then slowly in a couple of few days,my face started healing and looked much better, i didnt get any new pimple. All in all,the packaging is ok,the product is a big flop(at least for me),a bit pricey, and i definitely don’t recommand this for acne prone people with oily skin.Possibly the only good side of this product is that it doesnt makes you look like a ghost ,doesnt changes the colour of you foundation and its ok for taking photos with it as well,so its photostable just as it claims i gotta give it credit for that.
