Long story short about three weeks ago I bleached apprx the bottoms half of my hair to get that summer ombre look and I LOVED the results. My hair was a beautiful ashy blonde but I wasn’t expecting it to disappear so quickly. My hair within two weeks turned a weird yellow color so I ran to Sally Beauty Supply and bought this. (I’ll be honest I bought this because it was very cheap) You get what you pay for. This did absolutely nothing for my hair color wise. Still the same yellow-y color. Will not repurchase and will not even use again. Also this dried out my ends like no other. Sadly, it didn’t work out so I’m now in the process of finding a purple conditioner that’s works for me. I wouldn’t recommend this at all.

I have medium brown hair. I dyed my hair violet red months ago. The fading of the dye left me with gorgeous looking caramel highlights. But as time goes by… the caramel color is turning a brassy orange. So I decided to try this to see if it would help. After using twice, I do notice that it toned down the orange a bit, but not like I was hoping. I know it will take more than a couple uses to really see a change. What I don’t like about this conditioner is the way it makes my hair feel. It’s not really conditioning. But I didn’t buy it to condition my hair. It is purple, but not dark like the shampoo. It looks more of a lilac color to me.
I use this first, before shampooing (reverse shampooing). I use ALOT… I coat my hair, then I leave it in while I shave my legs, wash my body, etc. Then I add the cool blonde shampoo on TOP of the conditioner, then wash my hair as usual. I notice more body and bounce when I reverse wash, so I figured why not try it with this. This does make my hair look shiny, though. Overall, I would not repurchase, unless I notice a BIG change in my hair after continuous use.

I got this for free at Sally Beauty and did not read carefully (I wanted a color-safe conditioner) and did not realize it was for blond/silver/white hair. I agree with the other review it is very thick and purple-tinted and definitely reduces brassiness.
I will not get it again – but it was free and I will slowly use it. I will stick with Redken Color Extend for now.
Smells OK – slightly floral-perfumey and slightly chemically.
Not a HG – but if you need to tone down yellow – this is a good pick.

This is a great toning conditioner. I use this in conjunction with Clairol’s Shimmer Lights Shampoo and the 2 together tone so well! I was reading and it seems the shampoo for this doesn’t work very well but the conditioner is excellent. So when I went to Sally’s I decided to check this out. I have Light Ash Blonde hair and I like it as ashy as possible. So I shampooed with Shimmer Lights left it in for about 3 minutes. I have a lot of white highlights so I don’t want them to turn lavender. Also I find the shampoo dries my hair a bit so I need a good conditioner.
This conditioner though is very pigmented! I was very surprised at first I thought did I buy shampoo?,because it’s that thick and purple! I added this with some, One n Only Argan Deep conditioner then brushed it through. I put it up in a bun and did my thing for a few minutes then rinsed. Now that my hair is dry it is so soft and shiny. That was another thing the shimmer lights was a little drying for me and I needed a better colour conditioner. So this is a better choice for me as well because the price is a lot less.
But the toning is fantastic my hair is how I like it with the least amount of yellow as possible. Plus my hair is freshly coloured and I want to keep it that way so I use this about 3x’s a week. I love how soft and shiny my hair is. Also my hair feels so good because my hair is waist long, so I need a lot of conditioner. This gives my hair the moisture I need without breaking the bank. Toning shampoo’s and conditioners are on the pricey side. So this is a great more reasonable hair purchase for me. This smells really good too and doesn’t overpower you like shimmer lights can do to some.
This is a great buy for me being a natural blonde who goes light but gets dry hair. It helps keep my hair soft and shiny. Also I like how I don’t need a ton of conditioner to get it that way! Also mixes well with my deep conditioner and tones very well! My hair is nice and icy blonde which I luv and no brass or yellow. It smells great and for a toning conditioner it has a lot of pigment. I will stick with Shimmer Light’s Shampoo but this conditioner is a winner for me. Recommended!
