I bought this as part of a TSV for QVC. It did not blend well on my skin. My pores were emphasized and it was just too thick for me to blend well. I felt like the application was too light in some areas and too heavy and cakey in others. I tried using the dual ended foundation brush that came with the set. I followed the directions that came with the product. I even tried just using a sponge to apply the make up. It never blended well for me. I liked the idea of the two shades to contour my face, but I was not happy with my results. It looked harsh and thick like pancake make up. I experimented with an ELF primer and Smashbox oil primer. Neither helped in my polka dot pores.

I’m 37 and all my life wore little to no make-up because well I’m that kind of girl- not glamorous, like to be ready in little time. The times that I did wear make-up I always found that my skin looked ghastly, my skin felt stiff, I would break out etc. However a promotion at work forced me to have to go hunting for products that would make me looked polished and put-together. Well I love this foundation- it matches my skin well, it feels like I have nothing on my skin and I look really pretty with my skin evened out. Also it takes very little product to get the desired look. My only problem is that there is little product and the website doesn’t offer refills.

Very disappointed in this foundation, except for the concept of two shades so you can blend – that is the best part. I don’t mind spending on good products but this is poor value with very little product for too much money.
I’m 41 with dry skin, so maybe that’s the problem. This product is just too heavy and unflattering for my liking. If it wasn’t so overpriced I would probably be more forgiving..

Finally, a foundation that truly matches ME! I’m NC40/42 with aging/acne-prone.sensitive skin. It has taken me literally years to find a foundation that met the following criteria –
1. Has to match my skin tone perfectly
2. Cannot break out my skin
3. Cannot dry out my skin
4. Cannot make me more oily
5. Has decent staying power (at the least 5 hours a day.
Well, a skin twin here on MUA sent me the Eve Pearl HD palette which contains the dual Foundation creams in MY tone (Tan) and I am simply ah-mazed at how well it meets all 5 of my needs as listed above. I am stunned at how it not only matches my skin tone, but seems to smooth out the texture of my skin, which is changing due to aging. It looks so pretty and natural as if I have nothing on, yet makes me look healthy and rested and I love that.
I can get 6 hours out of an application if I use a primer and use the kit according to the Eve Pearl Method which is to apply both shades to strategic areas of the face; the dark on the cheekbones, forehead and chin, the lighter shade to the “hollows” of cheek to the jawbone and under the eyes. The genius of this is 1) It looks even more natural than using 1 shade all over and 2) It makes your foundation set mast longer.
Note: HauteLook as the Eve Pearl products on SALE until this Friday (10.19.2013) so I was able to stock up on not only the foundations, but the Salmon concealer. I am beyond happy with this line and as long as they make this the exact same way with no changes to the formulas, they will have a lifetime customer.
Finally, a brand that “gets” my skin tone and type.

Pros:
– Great for sensitive skin
– Great coverage.
– It’s HD
– No need to struggle with the perfect shade, all you need is the compact with one side is lighter than your skin, and the other darker. That’s how its designed to work.
– For a cream foundation, it’s very lightweight.
– Lasting power is decent.
Cons:
– If you have very dry skin, you have to use a rich moisturizer underneath because it dries very matte.
– It product doesn’t really last that long on the pan. depending on your usage, you may have to repurchase more often.
Everyone must keep in mind, these products are designed to be applied using the Eve Pearl Method. It takes a little bit if practice, but the result, when done correctly, is great!

I am nw15 and ordered fair. The lightest color was actually light enough but neutral toned and I do have a slight pink tone so it was not a perfect match. The product is very creamy and blends well. What I like best about this foundation is that it did not irritate my sensitive skin at all which is fantastic because every other foundation I have tried at least makes the skin around my nose itch a tiny bit. This feels extremely lightweight on the skin and has buildable coverage. This would be a very good foundation for me except for two big cons: the price is very high for the small amount of product you get and it accentuated any areas of dryness or uneven texture on my skin. I do exfoliate daily and moisturize well but somehow I still always end up with tiny dry flakes that I cannot see until I put on makeup and unfortunately this foundation showed all of them. Also this is a very dewy finish foundation, it does not feel heavy or oily at all but leaves a moist finish which feels nice on my dry skin but also seems to emphasize all my pores/fine lines. I feel like a slightly more matte finish is kinder to skin texture issues.
I will be returning this product along with the salmon concealer which I had the same issues with (look at the ingredients, it is exactly the same formula in a salmon color and is even more expensive per gram than the foundation).

Initially, I wanted to purchase the Eve Pearl Salmon concealer but based on the tutorial on youtube; I decided to try the combo package for $90. It came with the HD Dual Foundation, Medium Salmon concealer, and HD Dual Powder. I was excited to try the products. When I received my products from UPS, I had high hopes. I used the HD Dual Foundation as instructed, the lighter color at the side above the jawline, eyebrow arch, and the darker color on the cheeks, forehead, and both colors blended on the nose, above the mouth and on the chin. I blended with a wet sponge and this method removed too much product. I have post hyperpigmentation so I needed more coverage. Yet, I continued to use as instructed. I used a foundation brush to layer on the areas that needed more. Most cream foundations are not as creamy as this foundation. It was too creamy and glided all over the place. And the the salmon concealer did not conceal any flaws. I have hyperpigmentation, acne spot, and freakles. I only used this product once and I don’t think it’s made for my skin type. I purchased the whole set with high hopes and the salmon concealer did not help. I will not repurchase this product. I think it may work better for skins that are more flawless or oily. Very disappointed and this product is overrated and expensive.

I use this more as a concealer than a foundation and it is really great…smooth with great coverage. Doesnt feel heavy. It is a waterless product so it lasts way longer than other products its size so dont let the price scare you away. It will probably last at least twice as long as other products with water in it. Love it!

“Would you buy this product again?”…maybe.
I purchased this in the Light when EP had a promotion thing on Haute Look. I like the packaging and that it’s two shades (for sculpting), but like the Salmon concealer, it’s still too expensive for what it is. There are other products (like Senna’s Slipcover) where you can use the same method (the reverse contouring) that aren’t as expensive and produce better results.
The makeup actually doesn’t look like anything on my skin in the Light. I’ve used the wet sponge method (and every time I do this, I take all the makeup, moisturizer, serum and primer off my face leaving my “normal” skin parched), I’ve tried the dry sponge method (not a good look), and then I’ve just tried my fingers, and weird as it may seem, that blends it the best.
The problem may be that I ordered the Light and I should’ve ordered the Fair. My neck is very Fair even though my face has color (like most people’s). One thing, it hasn’t made me itch or broken me out. I feel for those who had that happen. It happened to me with another foundation.
So…if I ever get the chance to get this foundation for less again in the Fair, I may just try it. You can get it on Shop NBC now, but they don’t offer the Fair. Eve Pearl says that the Light would work for Nicole K. I don’t think so, Eve.

I really had high hopes for this because I do love eve pearl’s salmon concealer. But, I found this foundation too heavy for my liking. I really don’t think I can use this as an everyday foundation because I always look like I have thick, heavy makeup on. For special occasions, maybe yes. I have tried using her reverse contour method, but it really didn’t work out for me. The darker shade is way too dark(maybe 3-4 shades darker) for my skin. So the only color I can use is the lighter shade. I don’t think I would repurchase this for the price. It’s way too expensive for a foundation that doesn’t deliver extremely well. (For reference, I’m NC42 and I use their tan color.)
