The smells is nor particularly great but not that bad either. It is too greasy however. I am not sure if I got a bad batch but it looks like there is oil separated from the cream when squeezing some out.

I found this at Freddies for $4 and some change which is so much cheaper than most commercial sunscreens that go anywhere from $7 and up. The consistency is really sticky/greasy but absorbs after a few hours. This does not leave any streaks or white cast and is actually really blendable. I can use this on my face/body and have no issues with it pilling and balling up on my legs or arms. I was afraid that the Green Tea scent was going to cause my sensitive skin to become really itchy but I have used this a few times already with no issues. Would repurchase again despite my 3 lippies out of 5. I can imagine with how runny this formula is most people wouldn’t care for it.

I used this in springtime while visiting Maui. Temperatures were in the low 80s. Every time I reached to use this it would squeeze out in a melted runny mess. Don’t put this on your face! I put a small amount on my face went snorkeling and swimming after an hour my eyes were burning from the sunscreen. My eyes continued to burn for a few hours after this. Extremely painful!!! I know it was the sunscreen because the prior 7 days with another sunscreen (banana boat) was fine.

LOVE THIS STUFF! Smells amazing! I have combination/acne-prone (cystic, hormonal) skin & I’m 29.. This stuff is great! Doesn’t cause breakouts! Absorbs amazing! No greasy sunscreen feel or smell! I will forever be buying this!

I never write reviews on anything but…THIS, ommmmgggg amazing. I’ve had trouble with acne for a while and it finally started to clear up but I was left with annoying red marks all over my face so I decided to get a chemical peel and give my skim a fresh start. Obviously when you get a peel the thing they stress about most is for you to wear sunscreen afterwards. I’ve never worn sunscreen and I was honestly kind of terrified to slather it on my face for fear that it would make me break out again. I bit the bullet and tried it and it was the best thing I could have done for my skin! I don’t use my primer anymore just put on this and my skin GLOWS. Try it!!!!

Some might say that this product gives you a dewy glow but it is greasy! This product is not tested on animals and is vegetarian which is all great however, the greasy just kills it. When you put it on, white streaks form due to the titanium dioxide but those eventually disappear. It smells like what a $10 screen should smell like, citrusy with only a hint on chemical residual smell. This takes forever to absorb, making it sticky and very slick. If you have dry skin or need a very durable sunscreen for swimming this product might be good for you. I would not recommend this for daily use, or for sensitive skin because it is a chemical sunscreen. On the bright side it does not contain any oxybenzone which is very toxic to your body. For the price for such a small bottle and the slick and greasiness, this product is no good.

This goes on SO smoothly, without white streaks, and who doesn’t love a green tea infusion? It even gives your bare skin a nice sheen — but only because it never entirely dries, so be careful with delicate fabrics which it can smudge (especially when mingled with sweat) like a body oil. Note, too, that it’s not waterproof, and only weakly “water resistant” though thus labeled. After I put it on to spend 90 minutes in an outdoor pool (it was a 90-min. swim class so I’m not exaggerating duration) I emerged with a conspicuous tan, bikini lines and all. Luckily my skin type tans more than burns, but I’d bought this product to prevent a tan!

This stuff really helped me out over the past summer. Didn’t smell as bad as some sunscreens, applied wonderfully and most importantly, protected me. Because of my fair skin I especially have to be cautious as I burn so easily. This sunscreen became a staple for trips to the beach or any other day where I’d be spending a bit of time outside. I cannot attest to how well it performs on the face since I used a separate specialized sunscreen for that.

I was very happy with this product as I am with other Alba products. It does the job but the only complaint I have is that it’s very greasy and I really didn’t care for this. So I will probably not be buying this again 🙁

I use this stuff everyday as my facial sunscreen because I need something that protects my skin (I work outside), won’t break me out, works well under my makeup, and doesn’t have any bad ingredients in it… and this one gets 5 stars for all of that.
I have acne prone skin, so that was my main concern when I was trying this out. It does leave a glowy shine on my face, but not in a greasy way, it actually makes my skin look really healthy. I’ve been using it for over 3 months and it hasn’t clogged my pores at all- there’s not even an increase in blackheads.
The texture is hard to explain- a tiny bit goes a long way because it’s very thick and smooth. It leaves a healthy looking shine, but it’s not greasy. Because of the smooth texture, it makes my makeup look great- I’ve actually stopped using MakeUpForever’s primer since this does just as well at giving me a smooth base to start on (I don’t use foundation, only concealer and powder).
The smell doesn’t seem to linger, but it’s pleasant and not strong. I don’t usually reapply sunscreen during the day like I know I should, so I do sometimes get a little bit of color if I’m continually outdoors and using this. I know though if I used it properly and reapplied every 4+ hours, that I would be covered.
There’s actually nothing I would change about this product- I love the texture, it doesn’t break me out, it goes under my makeup really well, the price is fine, the smell is fine, and I love that it doesn’t have any parabens or other bad ingredients in it (and no animal testing).
This tube is going to last me a long time, but when it does run out, I will definately buy more.
