So about two years ago, I had this weird epiphany about handwash. It was (still is) the one beauty-related product that I use multiple times every single day without fail and there I was buying the cheapest supermarket brand stuff on offer. In that moment, I became a total convert to buying fancy hand wash and I’ve never looked back since.
In the world of fancy hand wash, Molton Brown is a pretty well established name. And for good reason – their orange and bergamot hand wash is good enough that I keep a backup bottle in the house at all times. So I had high hopes for the Rhubarb & Rose. Unfortunately, it just didn’t deliver. I mean it’s a perfectly adequate hand wash and it’ll do the job of getting your hands clean. But the wow factor just isn’t there. It comes down to the scent to be honest. While Rhubarb & Rose may sound lovely, it smells a little low-end. In fact, it has that same distinctively generic fruity-floral fragrance that you’re probably familiar with if you’ve ever bought off-brand soap at the grocery store.
Which is why I ended up binning the rest of my bottle. Haven’t looked back since!
