I have been buying sonicare toothbrushes since they came out years ago. At any price point they are a great tool but this one is the best. I like that I can plug it into my lap top to recharge. I think it vibrates more than the regular one. I forget to use all the different settings. One last thing, my dentist asked me once if I was going to another dentist in between visits because my teeth were so clean.

This is the closest your teeth will feel to when you have them professionally cleaned and polished at the dentist. After ONE use my teeth felt so smooth. The sensation does take some getting used to because “tickles” doesn’t begin to describe the feeling on your gums. For those of you that have a Clarisonic, and know that tingly ticklish feeling on your nose, it’s reminiscent of that. I must say I laughed a fair amount when I started using this toothbrush and I’ve never really enjoyed the electric toothbrush experience. We had an Oral-B but I gave it up quickly and while my husband kept with it I reverted to manual tooth brushing. There is something very different about the Sonicare. It doesn’t rotate like the Oral-B, it’s more of a side-to-side motion but very effective at getting the toothpaste along the gum line and feels like it’s working away at tartar, plaque, etc.
The toothbrush has a unique charging system, it sits in a glass that fits overtop of a charging unit. It also comes with a travel container that you can charge it in via USB connection which also has an adapter for an electrical outlet if you don’t want to use your laptop to charge your toothbrush. The unit comes with two brush heads and there are a number of colors to choose from (black, white, pink, blue). There are five different settings to choose from as well as a 2 minute timer that gives a prompt at 30 second intervals for each quadrant of your mouth.
I was lucky to get this on sale, but even so it cost over $200 with tax.
