I JUST PLAIN FREAKING LOVE THIS COLOR ON MY COMPLEXION AND EYES! It smokes out like a dream, is deep enough to pack a punch worn alone, isn’t too dark when you want to dramatically stand out, yet still not look overdone, and plays well with others. The duo chrome is gorgeous! And, I’m not a girl who is usually inclined towards anything but neutrals on my eyes…❤️

this is love at first swipe! my friend actually have this and give me as a gift. i was so excited. first! it looks so classy with the pot 2nd it was a duo chrome, thought of getting an emerald green eyeshadow. hell was got surprised. this was part of their freedom palette. i wont buy this anymore because i found a dupe for this in a cheapers price

This is my favorite eyeshadow. First purchase from urban decay, too. It applies smoothly and putting it over nyx black eye base makes the duochrome pop. I then use a copper transition shade and you have my favorite eye look. I’d highly recommend it, especially for brown eyes.

I just got a hold of the newly reformulated Lounge, and WOW I’m impressed! It feels like a dream – smooth, buttery, and almost feels like a cream shadow when I apply it. The payoff is excellent and the brown-teal duochrome is very strong. I uploaded 3 photos of my look today with it, but they don’t do the colors justice (btw, this is 7 hours after application with primer). I used it on both my lid and my browbone. I also have on UD Mildew & Scorch eyeliners, which I love as well.

I bought this shadow on a whim when Urban Decay was having a huge sale on eyeshadow. Online I thought ehh it looks kinda mucky but the idea of a duo-toned green/red color seemed interesting, and for $6 it was worth trying. When I got this product I fell in love. It is so smooth it glides on your eyelid like silk. The color is BEAUTIFUL, I have yet to find a color quite like it. When you put it on you first notice this red brick toned color, and then when you turn just slightly you get this very beautiful dark emeraldish green color. So far I have tested it on a few of my friends who have different skin tones and eye colors, and it seems to be universally flattering. I will say you NEED to use a primer when using this color, or else it will fade throughout the day.
Pros:
*Pigmentation is amazing. If you want something light, you can apply a wash of this color and still get the duo-toned effect, or you can build the color to the desired intensity.
*It doesn’t tug or feel grainy on the eyelid. It goes on very smooth and is easily blendable.
*It is universally flattering. I have a medium-fair skin color with a yellow undertone. I can wear both warm and cool tones, and I have brown eyes that sometimes change to green. When I wear this color it brings out a lot of the green I have in my eyes. I have tested this on a friend who has a medium skin color with a yellow-gold undertone. She looks best in warm toned colors and has brown eyes. This brings out the gold undertones in her skin and makes her face and eyes glow. I have also tested this out on a friend who have a very fair almost pale complexion, and she looks best in cool tones. She has blue/green eyes, and this color doesn’t make her eyes look tired or gothy. The green duo-color brings out her eye color and makes the blue in her eyes pop.
Cons:
*As with most eyeshadows you need to have a primer. I have very oily lids, so a sticky dry primer works best for me (UD’s primer doesn’t). But if you have normal lids any primer should do just fine. With primer you need to find what is best for your skin type. I’d recommend Two-Face eye primer as this makes the color pigmentation even more vivid than what it already is, and makes it last all day (unless you have oily lids: I use Laura Mercier’s eye primer as it is a drier consistency and more sticky).
All in all though, if you are looking for something fun and different and can manage to find this eyeshadow (I’ve asked UD and they said they might bring it back) I would try Lounge since it seems to be a universally flattering eye shadow.

I could stare at this color in it’s packaging forever, it’s so pretty! BUT…on my eyes it looks incredibly red. SO BUMMED! I am quite fair-skinned with pink undertone, so that’s likely why. One added note…I wish Urban Decay shadows came with an applicator! (I always lose the ones I buy separately, lol.)

I finally decided to splurge after drooling after this particular shade for forever, especially since UD has discontinued this in their new e/s singles. (Also a little reward for a successful no-buy.) I got this for retail price from the leftover UD singles at Ulta. I LOVE red-brown shades and I LOVE duochromes of any kind so this was a no brainer for me. However, after reading below reviewer’s comments about Wet n Wild’s Comfort zone having an exact dupe, I HAD to get that as well just to see if I had wasted my money on a brand name. So this will be somewhat of a comparison post.
Surprisingly, the Wet n Wild version is just as good (if not better) in quality than UD Lounge. The WnW is more pigmented, feels richer, and has a MUCH stronger duochrome. The only thing is that because the WnW one is so soft, it has much more fallout than the UD. There are some small differences in color, Lounge seems more red/orange while the WnW is more brown with a red tint and a bit darker. The duochrome in Lounge seems cooler-toned than in Wet n Wild but not sure. This was tested in indoors lighting, direct sunlight and overcast day.
Honestly though, the two are similar enough that you don’t *really* need both, and if you’re only getting one, I’d recommend the Wet n Wild definer, it is much more pigmented and has a stronger duochrome; save the extra money for more eyeshadows :p
PS Here’s a useful link comparing MAC Club, UD Lounge & the WnW definer:

Lounge is a beautiful eyeshadow. It is duo-chrome and blends beautifully, BUT….. The Wet n wild palette in “Comfort Zone” has EXACTLY the same shadow except it is even a bit better. I was so bitter when I bought the Comfort Zone palette and swatched the two colors side by side….NO difference at all. They blend the same, they look the same, but the Wet n Wild one seems to be prettier and more saturated. I am so bitter now 🙁 I should have bought the Comfort Zone palette first. I mean I got it for $17 and only one shadow, when Wet N Wild cost $4.99 and I got 8 wonderful shadows.
Overall yes the Urban Decay one is great, but I recommend the Comfort Zone palette over this one any day. Unless you are a huge brand snob, go for the cheaper, better palette 😉

Texture – silky and blends easily
Longevity
Cons:
Price
Skin Type – Combination, Extremely Sensitive
Coloration – Cool toned and very fair
This is a Duo Toned Eyeshadow. This is not your average, everyday eyeshadow. A simple dry swatch of the eyeshadow may appear underwhelming, but there’s a great deal to explore with this one product.
You should expect three results from “Lounge”:
1. When applied to naked or primed eyelids, the color will be reddish-brown with a slight green pearl sheen undertone.
2. Apply eyeshadow with either a damp brush or sponge applicator, and the eyeshadow will be more green with a brown/red undertone.
3. First apply a black eye pencil over lid and blend. Then apply “Lounge” to eyelid. The black eye pencil will absorb the brown and you will be left with a highly pigmented green, almost turquoise pearl sheen with soft brown/red undertone.
All applications are beautiful and dramatic in their own respect. “Lounge” is similar to MAC’s “Club”, though MAC has more of a pewter cast in my opinion. “Lounge” has more of a brown/red pigmentation and can be difficult to work with if you’re not used to a Duo Toned Eyeshadow. A light hand is needed and blending is key. If you’re too heavy handed, then your eyelids will look either bruised or that you suffer from allergies.
From my experience, MAC’s “Club” is easier to work with when you’re new to this type of eyeshadow. “Lounge” is really beautiful and makes one feel pride when they can properly manipulate the eyeshadow. When I mastered this eyeshadow, I felt that I could successfully use bolder colors, textures, and finishes.
