Pros: match the color of my complexion perfectly. Although it aims people with dry skin as a combo sensitive skin person I can use it without any single break out. Glides smoothly into my skin. Doesn’t clog my pores. Doesn’t cause any kind of irritation what so ever. Has an SPF of 10 P++. Classy, well packaged and for sure my HG.

I have combination skin and after using this powder once a day for a week, I have observed that:
PROs:
– I got the perfect color for my complexion
– it doesn’t need retouches
– has a luxurious packaging
CONs:
– very pricey
– my cheeks feel tightened when applying the powder directly on my day cream
– my forehead still shines but at least it doesn’t get oily

I have been using this powder since it appeared on the market replacing another powder by Guerlain that I used at the time. It has been a very convinient product for me since I have a bad habbit of being late and applying my makeup on the go. Even using the sponge that comes with the set It gives me a nice realistic finish with a mild glow. I use 02 shade which is much closer to my skin tone than any MAC concealers that I was matched to (NW20).
I am strongly against liquid foundation, so concealer and powder is my choice. I have been considering loose powder recently, so I might change to something else, but this will always be my default short-term solution for the “on-the-go” makeup.

I purchased this powder in 02 even though it is slightly darker than my skin (which is about an NC10-15). I wear sunscreen daily and this powder darkens considerably when I apply it over anything such as moisturizer or sunscreen. I won’t stop wearing sunscreen on my face so I either stop wearing this powder or purchase a paler shade. Unfortunately there is no paler shade in this powder available where I live although I do believe that in Asia a paler color is available.
When first applied this powder gives a beautiful soft finish, almost matte but with a hint of radiance. It looks expensive (and at $80.00 it really is expensive but I purchased a refill for about $60.00). It makes my fine lines more apparent even though it is not supposed to. I know that powders are notorious for drawing attention to fine lines but the literature that came with this powder specifically mentioned that it softened the appearance of fine lines. I look several years older when I wear this powder!
The coverage is light but not sheer, it does give some coverage so that my skin looks more even without the look of wearing a thick powder. I applied this at 6am and 9 hours later I can still see this on my cheeks and forehead but there is none left on my chin and nose. But this powder is not advertised as being for oil control so that is not a big deal for me.
I like the way this looks when first applied but I am not happy with the change in color when I am wearing other products on my face. The price is way too much for me to justify repurchasing so for these reasons this is not a re-buy for me.

Let me start this by saying, this thing is expensive!! About $80 from Nordstroms. The other more expensive powder I can think of is from LaPrarie. But honestly, it goes on like a dream come true! Your skin still looks like skin, if that makes sense lol. The other powder they Guerlain makes is very powdery and dries your skin out. The SA at the counter even told me not to buy it lol and not just to push the sale of the parure gold, but because she knew I’d just end up returning it! The only problem with this is it offers light to medium coverage max. I like to use it alone on days when I only have a second to get ready and I can swipe it on and be out the door looking natural (with help lol). But also alone it does wear off easily and doesnt hold back oil at all on my T-zone. Have to really reapply after I’d say 2-3 hours and Im not even that oily I would say..O and one more thing, didnt last long at all. Hit the pan after three weeks 🙁 but, if you look on strawberry.net you can order the refils for like $40 (keep in mind though you cannot buy the refils at any store, only online)..also a note to my scoring, 4 lippies, minus one for staying power but the rest remain even though the other issues prevail because it just looks so darn good those first 2 hours LOL!

The seller told me this can be used like wet with sponge I tried but not really well cover and not stay long last and not helping for oil control. I used tissue to just tab on my face seems the powder gone :(.
If used with my favarite foundation then follow with this powder it gives nice finishing. So anyway I’ll have to use as it is so expensive!!!!

Very expensive, but beautiful powder. It feels so smooth and not cakey at all. I love the texture and finish. It is very pricey though at $87 CDN, but if you’re willing to splurge you won’t be disappointed! It has a radiant matte kind of finish.

I had the product applied by a Guerlain makeup artist in a department store. Unfortunatelly this foundation is very powdery, I expected something more moist… it does not combine with my skin well and looks very cakey on my face. What is worse it accentuates all the little hair I have so it makes my face look fluffy. Even after few hours it just sits right there enhancing the fluff and my pores. It is a NO NO from me unfortunately.

79-80 USD for a wonderful powder that matches my skin tone perfectly and makes my skin look soft and nice…I say it’s worth it!!
SHADE:
At first I was torn between the 02 beige clair and 03 beige natural but after trying on both shades on each side of my face I can finally see that 03 is the winner! It looks natural and makes my skin look radiant compared to the 02 next to it, which also would work on my skintone but it just doesn’t look as good as the 03! I like this even more than my MAC skinfinish powder, which used to be my favorite until I found parure. I am NC 30 in MAC
TEXTURE & COVERAGE
So soft and silky feels like satin on the skin, provides a softening effect on the skin. Soothes out uneveness and provides good coverage for acne or scarring
UPDATE: Ok, after a few uses I gota take 2 lippies off because I find it kind of hard to open the compact. The powder for some reason start to a look a little cakey on me, which is weird because when I first bought it it looked nice on my face, but that might either be because of the lighting in the makeup store(the lights at makeup stores always have beautifying effect), or because I have not been sleeping well, affecting my skin condition. So disappointed because I spent alot of money on this! I’m going back to MAC products.

I’m this close to start my second pressed powder Parure Gold. at 80$ CDN it is expensive but this product really create a flawless skin. I have an acne-prone skin with acne scares, I use Guerlain l’Or or Meteorite primer then Parure Extreme (Beige Clair 02) or Lancome photogenic lumessence (Buff 2 W) and then I use Parure Gold powder all over my face, this powder is not sheer but it do blend well into the skin without accentuate lines or pores. With those three products my skin look even, with a nice glow. The powder really make a diffence, I do not know about the rejuvenating and regenerating properties they clames this product can do as i’m only 30 years old .
