No. I used it on my dyed hair (medium golden brown) to get some dimension and light in there.
The tip/applicator is absolute crap, it’s flimsy and does not stay in place.
There is WAY too much product and i ended up throwing away most of it. After 45 minutes, my hair was only lifted to a reddish medium brown, barely lighter than my current color.
Maybe it works well on virgin hair. My tips are fried and very brassy.
Waste of money for me…

I’ve died my hair at home a million times using the Wild Ombre, Frost and Glow, ColorSilk, etc. This one worked great in touching up my balayage that I can’t really afford to get touched up right now. It matched my color perfectly and the finger applicator made it easy to be very precise.
Would definitely buy again.

DO NOT BUY THIS. This is the worst hair color product I have ever used in 15 years, seriously.
I’m not new to hair coloring. I did highlights, full permanent color, semi, special effects by myself without having any regrets, only complements from others. One evening, I felt like I wanted to try this ombre kit since I liked the golden color that was displayed on the box and it seemed like a safe change so, I ended up buying the color OT5. I have light brown (level 7), about 60% virgin hair. I left the product on my hair 40 mins.
Well, now I have yellow/orangey hair with leopard like patterns and, bonus, my hair is completely fried. This is a total waste of costumer time and money. L’Oréal should remove this from the shelves as this is only a small quantity of bad quality bleach with a finger applicator that is way to big to stay in place on an index finger. There’s no way the product can be evenly distributed without having some lighter spots since the piece of hair you just put product on will end up touching the rest of your hair.
There’s not even a decent toner or a conditioner to go with it, no, just straight bleach with a small tube of shampoo. That’s it L’Oréal, I’m not buying your crappy products ever again.
Next time, I’ll just buy my own bleach, peroxide and foils and just color my hair the right way.

So, I have searched this whole site to find reviews on L’Oreal Superior Preference Ombre Touch before purchasing. I was in the store like a mad man deciding which at home ombre kit was best. After seeing this new one I grabbed it immediately in the shade OT5 for Medium Brown Hair. I have done normal coloring before at home but never ombre so after watching a million YouTube videos I felt ready! Applying it was super easy, it comes with a small brush you put on your finger for individual highlights. I divided my hair in half and just began doing it randomly since I wanted more of a balayge feel than all blonde at the bottom. So I checked on it after 20 minutes and realized the dye had dried up and I probably didnt put enough so I went back over it and saturated the pieces. It all turned out perfectly after another 20 minutes. I am so happy with the results! Loved this and would do it again and again!
