I’m 66 years old, so have used MANY products over the years. This has to be absolutely the worst!! They say it’s “enriched with clay”…….believe them…..pure clay! I only bought it because it was half price! Just horrible!!
Please guys, don’t waste your money.

Awful, awful, awful. I am trying to grow my hair out pretty long and keep it healthy, but I’d always wanted to dip dye my ends, so this seemed like a nice way to try that out. It figures, the ONE time I don’t read reviews about something, because I figured there’s no possible way this can go wrong. Boy, was I wrong. I put it in my hair, it seemed to be going fine, and when it came to brushing it out, I knew this wasn’t going to end well. I don’t know what is in this, and maybe I shouldn’t be surprised, but it dried the HELL out of my ends and the bottom half of my hair that I care so well for. It was a total bitch to comb out and I’m sure there’s so much breakage, it created rat’s nests of the bottom of my hair. I deep conditioned and put oil in my hair, but it’s still fried looking. I’m kind of pissed, to be honest. The color isn’t even great, it’s like I loaded my hair with tons of blue chalk. Not worth it! IMy hair is thick, but it is a bit fine, so I’m sure that’s a factor too, but ladies and gentlemen – try at your own risk.
***EDIT*** This is later the same day – I brought some maracuja oil to work thinking it might help, and I’ve added about three more drops to my hair in an attempt to help out my now-early years Hermione Granger hair, but it’s not helping…I’m honestly bummed out. I can’t stress enough how gross my hair feels, and I can’t believe they can market such an awful product and lead you to believe it will look like the packaging. I take meticulous care of my hair to keep it healthy so I can continue to grow it long, and a temporary color should NOT have this effect on it. I don’t have a game plan for the next few days and don’t appreciate having to deal with this and figure out how to have decent looking hair for the time being. I feel about ready to cry. Last time I neglect to read the reviews, because they’re nearly unanimously negative, with good reason.
*** EDIT 08/26 *** My hair is so thick with the dryness, I am honestly embarrassed, and I am going to be livid if I have to cut any amount of length off. Please, do not use this shit.

I really liked the product, but I want to be honest so people know what they are getting into. I used the Blue color, and o have light brown hair with lots of highlights in it. The lighter your hair the more vibrant it will
Show and the longer it will stain. This stuff is like the equivalent of a lip stain for your hair, I’ve had mine in almost a month now and I wash my hair every other day or so. It last a loooomnng time. I was okay with it because I like the color, but the lighter hair the longer it will stay. The color also will fade very rapidly from a vibrant blue, to a more greenish blue pastel color. Again I like it so it’s not a problem for me. But this product can be misleading for those of you who want something less temporary. I’m very happy with the color and the lean guy its lasted, so if you’re not afraid to have a little fun with your hair color, it’s a great product!

Er what is up with the reviews? I didnt read any before I had bought mine on a whim while I was Walgreen. Since I had wanted to color mine bronze temporarily before hitting the clubs.
I just work it into my hair a little at a time with one glove on. Let it dry then style my hair with paste or fiber cream.
It stayed on really well with all the sweating I had procured last night. Showered and it was mostly gone. A couple of days later I was back to normal. It does say that it will come off within 2-3 washes. Calm down!
If anyone is looking for a semi permanent solution give it a try. Im a guy so I cant speak on the behalf of some of the people with fragile delicate hair.
I want to try their blue one next time or mix the colors up. Sounds fun haha.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I had to cut over 4 inches off my hair once I used this, because it was so damaged. It gave my hair a horrible texture, and wouldn’t was out. DONT DO IT 🙁

I absolutely love this product. I have jet black processed hair and always wanted a red highlights, but nothing ever worked. Finally this product gave me what Ive always wanted. Is it a little straw like.. yes. Does it wash off easily, no, but do I have a beautifully red highlights… ABSOLUTELY!! just wash your hair few minutes after the application, deep condition it and enjoy it. Got many complements already 🙂

(I bought the pink color) If you love your hair please don’t use this product… I have brown hair and yes the pink color turned out great! However! It made it impossible to come, every night I swear I lost a chunk of my hair, and it’s made my hair kinky and coarse. I have used boxed hair dye before and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had cleaning and grooming wise. My hair normally curls perfectly but with the dye in my hair it just burns my hair and makes it difficult to use. Throughout the day my hair will start to form into little clumps that turn out to be knots. The color of this product is wonderful, and I love how it made my hair LOOK, but how it handles and feels now is absolutely horrible. I’ve already had to cut off three inches from the bottom of my hair because the dye killed it. So if you care about your hair and how it looks, find a different dye and use that, don’t kill your hair like I did.

I signed up to MUA just to write a review for this, after reading all the bad ones.
I haven’t had a Problem with this product. In fact, I quite like it. I can see why it would go on chalky, but my advice is to use only a drop or two at a time and build up colour that way.
My hair felt a bit chalky at first, but brushing and a spritz of leave in conditioner fixed the problem.
I liked is product so much I went and bought another box.
I have straight, black hair and the red shows up really well. Application took about five minutes and was easy as pie.

so I’ve been wanting to put color in my hair for a while but I’m always so scared to go to the salon and get it done permanently. I went to target and found this product and didn’t even think twice about buying it. I think it’s very affordable and worth it. I got home and tested it on a tiny strand of hair. my gloves were a tiny bit wet because I rinsed them, then I applied the product. I did notice it drying my hair a bit and it was a little hard to comb. I decided to apply Sashini thermal shine spray to it (though any shine spray would work), then straightened it. that took away all the dryness and made it easy to comb. I definitely will buy this product again. the color is really pigmented on my red hair and it was an extremely easy process. it did leave my hands a little stained though lol
after adding more color I added more of the shine spray and it makes a huuuuuuge difference. it’s not dry at all and feels like the rest of my hair. you just have to work with it until you’re satisfied with it
