This is my new go-to gloss in Morocco, a perfect lightly toasted pink that’s a little sheer and somehow amplifies my lip volume better than anything else I’ve used. It just has a dimensional quality that’s hard to find. The staying power is typical for a gloss, but it’s inexpensive and worth reapplying. Doe-foot applicator.

I love a good gloss that isn’t sticky and doesn’t dry out lips. With that being said, I’m a huge fan of ModelCo’s Lip Lacquer. I am currently wearing the “Viva” color and it has a pink/coral tint to it which is so pretty for summer. Looks natural and has a lot of shine to it. Super easy to apply and wand is very sturdy (does not clump). Very impressed!

I got “Socialite” a shiny clear gloss with a slightly reddish tint, and “Casablanca” another shiny sheer with a hint of pink. Neither of these work for me as a color product, as the colors don’t really show up.
I totally agree with the reviewer before, its confusingly advertised on the ModelCo website as pigmented, when its not. Birchbox describes it more truly as “a touch of sheer, slightly shimmery color”.
As for its glossy abilities, it does a good job. Looks very shiny, feels smooth and not too thin. Wears off evenly and leaves lips in moist condition. Faintly tastes of lollies which I’d rather wasn’t there, but its not bad and doesn’t linger. The packaging and the box it comes in is super luxurious and fancy, like a giant Mac lip glass.
Would I buy again? No. $28 is too much for what is basically a sheer gloss. They do have another cheaper glosses and a Pigmented Liquid Lip Color which to me represents better value.

Firstly I should point out I prefer lipsticks to lip gloss and like a full pigmented lip, so I’m not the best person to review this product. Having said that, this is advertised as highly pigmented. I’ts not. At least no the colour Casablanca. In the tube this looks like a dark pink/taupe – a good neutral pink. On the lips it is fairly sheer and all it really does is add shine and a hint of colour. My lips are not highly pigmented so colour normally shows up fairly well on them. The other negatives are that it is very very sticky (girls with long hair beware) and that it smells and tastes like mixed lollies.
I didn’t purchase this, it was a gift with magazine, but Modelco makeup is not cheap. I saw these online for $17AU each. What a ripoff. Cheap brands like Essence and NYX are just as good if not better. Only purchase if you are a diehard lipgloss fan with more money than sense.
